I'm a late convert to these. I find myself actually looking forward to my tumbler of oats each morning. I tend to stick to just adding milk, greek yogurt, mixed seeds, blueberries and a swirl of fruit compote to the oats. I'm thinking about peanut butter and banana next for a change. Any other suggestions?

Eww I can't eat them. I love porridge and overnight oats are just raw porridge and it tastes raw, literally like eating a handful of dry oats.

Dint be daft. Overnight oats definitely do not taste like a handful of dry oats. You really cannot have tried properly made delicious moist fruity overnight oats. There is absolutely nothing dry about them.

Porridge makes me boak! The warm slightly texture. Yuk.

Love that word, but for me it’s the overnight stuff that has that effect.

ViceVersa quick update. I tried your Cherry bakewell suggestion and it's lovely. I only found frozen cherries on Thursday. Delicious recipe. Thanks.
I've also found Miso paste now and am nerving myself to try than next. Thanks all!

Glad you enjoyed it - it's a favourite of mine.

I sometimes make a batch of overnight oats. I use a large pot of ginger Greek-style yoghurt (Rachel brand, but I doubt it matters), add a large scoop of chia seeds, 2 cups of oats and a dollop of maple syrup and mix well. I then loosen the mixture with milk (the seeds will soak it up) and add frozen berries and cherries (usually summer fruits, blueberries and cherries). I divide amongst four pots, cover and refrigerate, and it does four breakfasts. It is filling and nutritious.
