It’s a joy to wake to birdsong
Tweeting and chirping all along
It’s time for nesting

It`s a joy to wake up to birdsong
Tweeting and chirping all along
It`s time for nesting
No, not for resting!

It`s a joy to wake up to birdsong
Tweeting and chirping all along
It`s time for nesting
No, not for resting!
Can’t afford to get it all wrong.

I wish I looked after my feet

I wish I looked after my feet
And then I could dance to the beat

I wish I looked after my feet
And then I could dance to the beat
But my corns do throb

I wish I looked after my feet
And then I could dance to the beat
But my corns do throb
My high heels I’ll lob

I wish I looked after my feet
And then I could dance to the beat
But my corns do throb
My high heels I’ll lob
So I’ll make a hasty retreat.

I want to shake Zelensky’s hand. ?

A strong man with a loyal band

I want to shake Zelensky’s hand. ?
A strong man with a loyal band
He’s stood up to Putin

A strong man with a loyal band
He’s stood up to Putin

I want to shake Zelensky’s hand. ?
A strong man with a loyal band
He’s stood up to Putin
No one's disputing
He’s very brave to make a stand

But the losses are heartbreaking

But the losses are heartbreaking
Men going to war, forsaking

But the losses are heartbreaking
Men going to war, forsaking
Families, so brave

But the losses are heartbreaking
Men going to war, forsaking
Families, so brave
With children to save

But the losses are heartbreaking
Men going to war, forsaking
Families, so brave
With children to save
And broken lives in the making

We’re learning to cut our losses

We’re learning to cut our losses
Without much help from our bosses

We’re learning to cut our losses
Without much help from our bosses
Pay has been frozen

We’re learning to cut our losses
Without much help from our bosses
Pay has been frozen
Redundancy chosen

We’re learning to cut our losses
Without much help from our bosses
Pay has been frozen
Redundancy chosen
I shall become a chef and make sauces

There was a woman from Gransnet
Who spoke to everyone she met

There was a woman from Gransnet
Who spoke to everyone she met
When she went shopping

There was a woman from Gransnet
Who spoke to everyone she met
When she went shopping
She would keep stopping

There was a woman from Gransnet
Who spoke to everyone she met
When she went shopping
She would keep stopping
To have just one more cigarette

She nattered her way through the day

She nattered her way through the day
Her neighbours kept out of her way

She nattered her way through the day
Her neighbours kept out of her way
Gossip they’d avoid
