Hello All! ? ?
I’ve tried to be more grammatically correct with the title this time.

Do you enjoy musical theatre?
??
Which is your favourite?

I love Jesus Christ Superstar; Cabaret; Oliver!; Sweeney Todd; Oklahoma
I could go on and on…

hollysteers Fri 13-May-22 19:56:43

Not a fan of cocktails really and hardly drink now, but maybe a martini and I recently had a delicious cocktail called Strawberry Fields.

What is your food indulgence?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Sat 14-May-22 08:38:29

I can spend money easily if I think the purchase is worthwhile and I feel the urge to splurge.

I love fish best of all but find trifle very hard to resist.

What was the last thing you ate?

MrsKen33 Sat 14-May-22 09:05:28

Asparagus frittata made by DH for supper last night.

Massive cleaning here as very aged aunt coming to stay. Do you do that if you are having visitors.?

biglouis Sat 14-May-22 09:41:50

No - I invite very few people in and they take the place as they find it! Having said that I am a tidy and methodical person.

What was the worst job you ever had?

Mine was being a telephone debt collector back in the 1990s.

I gave it up after 6 months. It made me feel terrible to put pressure on people (some of who literally had no money to feed their kids) such that I now despise people who work in the industry. It also taught me a lot about the debt industry and how corrupt it is.

Delivering leaflets door to door. How I hated it. Squashed fingers in many letterboxes, got chased by variety of large dogs, had people shout at me. I only lasted one day and never went back.

Does the weekend still feel different to you even though you are retired? Do you have a different routine on Saturdays and Sundays?

AGAA4 Sat 14-May-22 10:46:44

The weekend does feel different but my routines are the same.

Did you have a dream of what you wanted to do when you were young but never happened?
I wanted to train as a nurse and work in foreign lands.

hollysteers Sat 14-May-22 12:54:39

I wanted to be a writer, but am happy with what I did.

If you had to, would you choose to feel either lonely or bored?

SachaMac Sat 14-May-22 18:41:39

I’d rather be bored than lonely. You can be both bored & lonely in the company of others but you can always find something to do to break the boredom. One of my old teachers used to say that only boring people get bored. Loneliness is harder to deal with.

Do you apply sun screen religiously either before leaving the house or take it out with you on a sunny day like today or are you a bit more slap dash like me and occasionally forget & get caught out.

biglouis Sat 14-May-22 23:20:56

I rarely go out (except by car/taxi) due to mobility issues so I dont bother with it. Never did sunbathe as I had red hair before it went silvery grey.

Do you make an effort to watch Eurovision?

I have it on "in the background" but am doing other things.

MrsKen33 Sun 15-May-22 09:10:26

No, I don’t like it very much. Glad to hear the results though, and how gracious Sam Ryder was.

If I could have one wish today it would be that Putin is defeated hugely. What would be yours?

AGAA4 Sun 15-May-22 09:18:55

Similar and that all those war criminals are tried at the Hague and spend the rest of their lives in prison.

What would be your perfect day?

hollysteers Sun 15-May-22 09:33:29

Waking up in Paris, a visit to the Rodin museum, shopping and a meal at the Ritz.

Do you speak another language?

FannyCornforth Sun 15-May-22 09:47:32

No. Just gibberish.

It’s a bit of a moot point. As a middle school pupil I was above average in French and loved it; but at secondary school I had the most ghastly French teacher. Horrible. I lost all interest in the subject.
She must have been a very poor teacher; as I was a very good pupil, eager to learn

Did you have an awful teacher at all?

henetha Sun 15-May-22 10:03:51

Yes. I did French at school and the teacher was awful. And she reported me to the Head Mistress because I hissed at her!
The truth is, I didn't hiss at all. We were asked if a particular verb was objective or subjective and I hesitated on subjective as I wasn't sure....

Do you watch or listen to your local news? It's my favourite news as I love to know what's going on in my area. We have a programme on BBC called Spotlight.

Billybob4491 Sun 15-May-22 13:27:39

I listen to the news throughout the day.

When did you last visit the Theatre?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Sun 15-May-22 14:25:26

I last went to the Theatre to see Rob Brydon in 2017 - what a long time ago. He was very funny and talented and doesn't rely on swearing or vulgarity to get laughs.

When did you last visit a museum?

AGAA4 Sun 15-May-22 14:44:35

Must have been 2019. If I lived in a city I would go often.

What is your favourite walled city? Mine is York.

hollysteers Sun 15-May-22 15:20:49

Chester and York.

Do you have any addictions?

biglouis Sun 15-May-22 15:28:55

I used to be a bit of a shopaholic/collector.

I couldnt pass an antiques/junk/gift shop without going in and buying something. It gave me a real lift. Then I began selling off all the "stuff" Id bought over the years. Now I get as much pleasure from buying to resell as I ever did from buying for myself.

Do you ever google the symptoms when you dont feel well?

Mollygo Sun 15-May-22 23:20:48

No, in case I find something it might be, that’s worse than I actually feel.

Did you watch the platinum jubilee display on ITV tonight? The drummers (among other acts) were amazing.

crazyH Sun 15-May-22 23:50:13

Amazing show - I enjoyed every minute of it, even though the Houehold Cavalry have received some negative comments.

I enjoyed the Swiss stuff (I think) What was your favourite part of the show ?

DanniRae Mon 16-May-22 09:47:35

Seeing the Queen looking so well and happy smile

What's coming up in your life that you are looking forward to?
(My darling grandson is having a little party to celebrate his 3rd Birthday and all my family are going to be there!)

AGAA4 Mon 16-May-22 09:51:19

My grandson will be 3 soon too. I will spend a few days with him and then off to the theatre with my older daughter.

Do you prefer cinema or theatre?

hollysteers Mon 16-May-22 10:16:48

Theatre, as I have a wealth of films etc here at my fingertips with Netflix etc. live theatre is hard to beat.

Are you a churchgoer?

ginny Mon 16-May-22 22:05:34

No I’m not a believer. I just try to do my best and treat others as I would like them to treat me.

We returned from a holiday in Thailand just before the first covid lockdown.
When was the last time you went abroad ?
