Hello All! ? ?
I’ve tried to be more grammatically correct with the title this time.

Do you enjoy musical theatre?
??
Which is your favourite?

I love Jesus Christ Superstar; Cabaret; Oliver!; Sweeney Todd; Oklahoma
I could go on and on…

Shinamae Thu 19-May-22 11:00:11

I work in a care home and unfortunately residents who went to hospital were discharged back to us with Covid so yes I have had it and I have had it twice but fortunately not badly as asymptomatic but some of my colleagues were really really ill and actually thought they were dying..

Do you actually enjoy housework? I loathe and detest it

AGAA4 Thu 19-May-22 11:16:33

I like it less an less as I get older and just do what's necessary to keep things hygienic.

Do you sleep well?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Thu 19-May-22 12:49:00

Reasonably well. I wake up refreshed and ready to start the day.

Have you ever ridden on the back of a tandem?

MrsKen33 Thu 19-May-22 13:55:42

Yes I have. And at the end of the ride met DH’s grandparents on their tandem. They were both in their eighties at the time. We all went to Macari’s for an ice cream.

Knickerbocker glory, or bananas split ?

FannyCornforth Thu 19-May-22 14:04:14

Ha ha! Nice one. Knickerbocker Glory please!

Btw, did you know that the Knickerbockers were a really wealthy family in late 19th century New York?

Tell me an interesting, little known fact please

SachaMac Thu 19-May-22 14:37:46

The reason we don’t see baby pigeons is because they don’t leave the nest for up to 2 months so they are mature juveniles when they leave and it’s very difficult to tell them apart from the adult birds, there are usually only two young. Most small birds leave at around 2/3 weeks.

Cats dont meow at other cats - only at humans. They communicate with other cats by other noises, body posture and scent.

5 animals which prefer to be nocturnal

biglouis Thu 19-May-22 16:43:38

Sorry - wrong game. I was thinking of name 5!!

Have you ever had someone knock your door late at night?

AGAA4 Thu 19-May-22 16:51:01

Yes. It was after midnight. I was in bed and my teenage daughter was in the kitchen. I heard the knock and shouted to her not to open the door. Too late. She opened it to two men who asked her to get them some water for their radiator. I appeared and pointed out that they had driven through a ford with plenty of water to get to my house. Dodgy pair up to no good.

Do you ever feel nervous at night if you are alone?

ginny Thu 19-May-22 17:14:10

Not really. The only thing I don’t like is turning off all the downstairs lights as I go up the stairs.

We have got a whole weekend with no plans coming up. We are trying to stay under the radar as it doesn’t happen too often.

Do you have busy weekends or would you like one all to yourself ?

biglouis Fri 20-May-22 02:14:02

I love weekends all to myself.

If you have a job needs doing do you ever put off calling in a workperson to fix it?

I do.

FannyCornforth Fri 20-May-22 05:55:34

Oh Lord, yes. I need to organise getting a cleaner (desperately)

I’ve found the company (brilliant) and spoke to the owner (lovely).
I just need to make the final leap and allow them in!

Today’s the day I get around to it (I hope)

I really should have done it months ago.

Do you have a cleaner, a gardener or anything like that?

biglouis Fri 20-May-22 08:14:33

I have a cleaner 2 mornings a week and a gardener who comes fortnightly. Ive never been interested in gardening and am even less interested in housework.

Are you finding it difficult to get tradespeople to quote for jobs at present? Things like a conservatory or an extension?

FannyCornforth Fri 20-May-22 08:18:38

No, because I haven’t done anything like that recently. But I’m finding that vets and dog groomers (especially) are ridiculously busy.
I have to book at least a month in advance; whereas before you could get an appointment within a couple of days.
So it seems that everything is really busy atm.

Have you found anything similar going on?

hollysteers Fri 20-May-22 08:37:13

Not appointments, but some groceries etc are missing.

What is your current favourite TV programme?

AGAA4 Fri 20-May-22 10:38:55

I tend to dip in and out as I haven't got a series I want to watch at the moment.

Do you have to collect prescriptions or do you have them delivered?

ginny Fri 20-May-22 10:49:20

I collect mine but I could have them deliverer. I use a local chemist.

What is the longest you have known any of your friends that you still see?

My longest is 50 years.

henetha Fri 20-May-22 10:51:32

I collect mine. I have been offered various delivery services but I like any excuse to get out of the house. There's a nice park near the chemist so I usually walk in there and then collect the meds, then go home. Pleasant little outing.

How is your hearing? I've a slight problem but have been told it's just wax. What is the best way to put olive oil in my ears?

henetha Fri 20-May-22 10:52:57

sorry, crossed. smile

I've got one friend who I've known since I was 30. So that is 54.

Question about ears, above.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Fri 20-May-22 11:44:14

I expect putting your head on one side and slowly pouring a little in might help. In our town have a 'clinic' where they'll attend to excessive ear wax for you - £50 for one ear, £80 for two, or thereabouts. I'm not sure if that's really a good idea though.

Have you ever been arrested?

AGAA4 Fri 20-May-22 11:50:57

No thank goodness. I think I am mostly law abiding. I sometimes notice my speedometer telling me I'm a bit over the speed limit on the motorway but maybe not an arrestable offence.

Do you ever find you are driving a bit faster than you should?

hollysteers Fri 20-May-22 23:53:19

Not so much these days, but do get a bit carried away on the motorways when able to.

Do you diet?

MrsKen33 Sat 21-May-22 05:25:46

Yes , having been diagnosed as diabetic about ten years ago, I lost a lot of weight and reversed it. Now I eat low carb mostly and do 16:8. Which works very well for me.

How do you celebrate birthdays. Quietly or with lots of visitors, presents and cake?

AGAA4 Sat 21-May-22 10:09:42

I am usually given a treat for my birthday. This year it is a theatre visit but on the day it may just be a lunch out.

What would you like to study if you were able? I am interested in History and Psychology.

henetha Sat 21-May-22 11:38:12

Art History. I did a non-examination course once and it was fascinating. Also psychology.

Did you like school? Or couldn't wait to leave?
