Hello All! ? ?
I’ve tried to be more grammatically correct with the title this time.

Do you enjoy musical theatre?
??
Which is your favourite?

I love Jesus Christ Superstar; Cabaret; Oliver!; Sweeney Todd; Oklahoma
I could go on and on…

SachaMac Sat 07-May-22 10:12:55

Three of the GC were born in September but otherwise family birthdays are quite spread out.

I was woken by the Dawn chorus this morning, lovely as it was I did begin to wish I’d closed the window.

Do you leave your bedroom window open all night and do you find the birds wake you up?

AGAA4 Sat 07-May-22 10:35:16

I close the window but I can hear the birds singing early in the morning. I like to hear them.

What sounds do you like to hear.? I love the sound of the sea.

henetha Sat 07-May-22 10:58:35

Yes, me too, the sound of the sea. And I love hearing the larks when they are nesting on Dartmoor. Their trilling is beautiful.

Do you like privacy when you sit out in the garden? (I do).
But my neighbour deliberately sits out the front so then can converse with all who pass by. I wish I was that sociable!

lovebeigecardigans1955 Sat 07-May-22 17:44:09

I do like privacy when out in the garden - I think most of us do. However, if I were to suffer a fall or some other catastrophe my lovely neighbours would see and I feel sure, would come to the rescue - so that's the main advantage of being a bit overlooked.

Do you have nice neighbours?

Mollygo Sat 07-May-22 18:35:54

Yes. Next door on one side, a family who make me feel young and on the other a family who remind me I’m not so young any more. One benefit of Covid is we know the rest of the neighbours so much better.

There seems to be so many bluebells at the moment. The air is perfumed with them when we take the dog for a walk in the woods or the park. What else have you noticed going near you?

AGAA4 Sat 07-May-22 19:44:06

The wild orchids are coming out in the country park near where I live. It's lovely to see all the wild flowers blooming now.

Do you go on many day trips?

crazyH Sat 07-May-22 20:23:27

Yes, used to with the 50+ Community Group. Been on hold for sometime - starting back in June …

Do you take any vitamin supplements etc?

MrsKen33 Sun 08-May-22 05:22:54

Yes, a multi vitamin daily and turmeric with black pepper. Good for eye health plus other things. DH takes rose hip for his creaky knees and swears by it.

Have you tried the alternative milks, oat, soya , almond etc?

DanniRae Sun 08-May-22 07:50:22

Due to a few concerns about the welfare of cows I now use almond or oat milk on my cereals and organic semi skimmed milk for tea.

Same question again, please.

crazyH Sun 08-May-22 11:38:29

I tried soya milk in my tea but didn’t like it, so went back to my usual semi skimmed milk.

Looked in the mirror and realised my hair needs a colour. Grey and black is not a good look? How often do you colour your hair?

AGAA4 Sun 08-May-22 11:47:08

I've stopped colouring mine. I left it during all the lockdowns and now I just have it cut.

Do you like Sundays?

Mollygo Sun 08-May-22 16:55:55

Yes-I like the routine of Sundays. I get a twinge of guilt though when I see it’s sunny and pop washing on before it’s time for church, because the weather forecast for the rest of the week is rubbish.

On days out, do you always walk /drive to places where you know there’s a café or do you take flasks and a picnic?

biglouis Sun 08-May-22 20:17:49

I have mobility issues and dont drive so I rarely go out.

Are you doint anything in your area for the Jubilee bank holiday?

Maybe it would be different if I had children/grandchildren. I doubt if I will do anything special even if someone arranges something - its not an event I feel excited about.

henetha Sun 08-May-22 23:38:41

I'm looking forward to the jubilee weekend but don't know of any specific celebrations nearby. I'll drink a toast to our lovely Queen.

Are you squeamish about anything when watching films/TV etc? Does violence/sex bother you?

Bussy Mon 09-May-22 00:57:47

Climbing stairs ! I always know and feel how fit I am by the feeling in my legs and the wheezing !

If you could go and pack a case and a little bag to go anywhere in the world tight now where would you go ?

Bussy Mon 09-May-22 01:06:42

Violence yes but not as much since I have watched ‘Game of Thrones’ I used to close my eyes at scary music but I got used to seeing people cut in half etc in GOT sex no as long as it is consensual and not overly dramatic!

If you could pack a bag and a car was waiting to bring you to the airport you can go anywhere in the world where would you go ?

nanna8 Mon 09-May-22 03:02:02

Samoa. Not been there and it isn’t as far as Europe and America for us.

Do you read mags?
I don’t now because I really don’t want to know about all these show biz people. They used to be much better and have good articles once.

SachaMac Mon 09-May-22 08:27:47

I rarely buy magazines now apart from the occasional Weightwatchers or House Beautiful type mags for a bit of inspiration. I stopped buying weekly magazines like Wonan, Woman's Own etc years ago. I wouldn’t buy Hello or OK but sometimes read them at the hairdressers.

What’s your favourite breakfast? Do you tend to have the same thing most days or vary it or not eat it at all.

AGAA4 Mon 09-May-22 09:31:27

I vary it usually between porridge, oatibix or muesli.

Would you go on a cruise or have you been on one?

MrsKen33 Mon 09-May-22 10:40:04

Been on lots of cruises; love them. But we haven’t booked another. Just waiting to see how things go.

Who cuts the grass in your house ? DH in ours.

henetha Mon 09-May-22 10:56:24

Dan-the man. Young chap who does lots of gardens here, and cleans the widows.

Are your local authorities cutting back more services? Here our street lights are being turned off, just a few being left on.

henetha Mon 09-May-22 10:56:56

Widows?? Windows!! grin

MrsKen33 Mon 09-May-22 15:12:52

henetha. Lucky widows !!!!

MrsKen33 Mon 09-May-22 15:16:23

Don’t really know. We live on a private road so maintenance is up to us. Libraries etc seem to be the same, and bin collections.

Just watching the sloth on Planet Earth 2. Brilliant. Do you have a favourite wild animal?

biglouis Mon 09-May-22 16:37:16

I adore reptiles and expecially tortoises. I always had them as pets when I was a child. They are so comical and dignified.

Have you ever had a parking problem with neighbours or tradespeople working on your street?

I never have as I dont drive or own a car and keep the gates to my drive locked. A neighbour recently asked if they could "use" my drive but when they found out I would require a legal agreement (for which they would have to pay) and a commercial rental they backed off.
