hi boring people lol.

Nelliemoser Mon 21-Sep-15 13:55:34

My OH can bore for England on the same subject with many diversions from the subject he started with, until the listener is glassy eyed and sneaks away.

Teetime Mon 21-Sep-15 14:11:51

I'm boring- well I'm boring myself today anyway.

janerowena Mon 21-Sep-15 14:24:10

Anyone with an interest or passion in something can appear boring to someone without the same interest.

Football - boring. It doesn't look pretty and you can't eat it, unlike plants. Utterly useless AND boring.

Elegran Mon 21-Sep-15 14:28:57

You don't have much room to criticise anyone else for being boring, gordino. I've only seen two other posts by you, one to say "Anyone in Surrey interested in gardening?" and one on the Rude Bits thread commenting "the things people talk about". Neither of them exactly interesting. Have you posted anything else?

Was it the Rude Bits thread that drew your attention to this forum?

M0nica Mon 21-Sep-15 14:32:36

It takes a bore to recognise a bore so quickly.

jinglbellsfrocks Mon 21-Sep-15 14:38:37

Hi gordino. Let's talk. smile

Elegran Mon 21-Sep-15 14:49:27

Yes. Talking is a good cure for boredom. Try the political threads - they will keep you awake.

ninathenana Mon 21-Sep-15 14:56:27

Your op to me is an assumption it's only people interested in gardening that will read this thread. I don't garden and I don't do politics, it doesn't stop me reading the threads.
I think I'll start one about quantum physics and see how that goes.

Teetime Mon 21-Sep-15 14:58:27

I'd like that I don't know what quantum physics is.

Tegan Mon 21-Sep-15 15:02:31

Same here; would I then understand what happened in Interstellar?

Tegan Mon 21-Sep-15 15:05:19

Also quantitaviveasing [sp]. There's a racehorse called that and it's quite funny listening to the commentator getting his teeth around it when he runs.

jinglbellsfrocks Mon 21-Sep-15 15:10:20

No one knows how to spell quantitititative easing Tegan. grin (anymore than they know what it fuckin' well is)

jinglbellsfrocks Mon 21-Sep-15 15:11:08

Buggered if I've got my head round it.

Tegan Mon 21-Sep-15 15:14:07

In fact it's funny listening to the ways that he avoids mentioning him....

grannylyn65 Mon 21-Sep-15 17:23:16

But I like Brian May ( apart from the badges ( sic )

Galen Mon 21-Sep-15 17:55:12

Boring!grin

ninathenana Mon 21-Sep-15 18:15:31

Me neither Teetime grin

loopylou Mon 21-Sep-15 18:17:59

confused
All way beyond me sad
I'd add quantum physics and black holes to qualitative easing jingl......

Luckygirl Mon 21-Sep-15 18:27:05

I know what quantum physics is - it is the subject that my OH talks about endlessly and the source of inspiration for me for presents for him. If in doubt about what to buy him, get a book on QP and bingo - happy man! How do I know which to buy?.....if I do not understand it, he will love it. grin

Before I am accused of sexism, there are subjects about which I know loads and about which he knows zilch.

BlackeyedSusan Mon 21-Sep-15 18:31:20

not boring today... I put the awl away for another day.

or perhaps I have misnderstood and gransnetters are prospecting for oil in their gardens?

or perhaps the op is a bit of a plank as we seem to have "board" him?

janerowena Tue 22-Sep-15 14:37:30

grin

loopylou Tue 22-Sep-15 19:01:31

Quite bemused, gordino seems to randomly pop up all over the place then not return..... I have images of Gordon the Gopher for some obscure reason confused

Bless!

janerowena Tue 22-Sep-15 19:39:27

I have an image of a bored teenager!

One that looks like Gordon the Gopher would be perfect!

BlackeyedSusan Thu 01-Oct-15 00:38:54

preferred phillip schofield to be fair.
