Cosmos failure.

Our lovingly tended Cosmos seedlings have now grown into 4 - 5 foot giants but there are no flowers on any of them. It was a new packet of seeds. Anyone else had this problem? What did we do wrong? Still the foliage is very pretty.

I find this with some Cosmos. They go tall with thick stems, but no flowers. Others are shorter and pretty.

Might not bother with Cosmos next year. Might go more with Stocks.

That's amazing about Lidl gram6169 . I had cause for complaint about a begonia plant from Suttons, and all I got was argument. hmm

Same here, Cosmos normally do really well, ours have flowered but are shorter ( not taller!) than usual and haven’t lasted, in spite of watering them regularly.
It may be the weather though.
Pelargoniums are showing signs of rust, which hasn’t happened before.

I saw some lovely cosmos yesterday, tall, abundantly flowering, in pots.
I should have knocked on the door and asked the secret although I know this person does have 'green fingers'.
