My sunflowers! ?

Well, thank you to all who posted when I started them off, my first attempt at growing from seed! grin

The best ones are now over 7ft tall shock haven't managed to get up the step ladder for accurate measurements, and seem to be setting multiple flowers!

The village competition closes on August 15th, don't think I will win, but have given it a good go!

Very chuffed!

? ? <<smug emoticon>> I made tripods out of canes, lashed them around the stalks and then lashed a network of lightweight ropes around fence posts. Mine are still standing! Next door neighbour's are trashed though.

Mine broke in the wind yesterday so I have them inside when they die off will they still go to seed as I was hoping to save some for birds and next year

Aren’t they all beautiful, some stunners on here. I’ve grown them for the first time this year and will do so again.
