First blooms, planted as a bare root from David Austin last November. I dare say it could have flowered a bit earlier but it doesn’t get sun all day - nowhere in our small garden does!

That is beautiful Witzend. Is it scented?

What a beautiful rose!
It looks so healthy with those glossy green leaves.
I love the colour variations in the flower.
Thank you Witzend.

Yes, in the catalogue it says re fragrance, ‘strong tea, old rose’ but TBH it doesn’t smell all that strong to me.

Lovely rose but far too neat and frilly to fit my idea of Emily Brontë.

oreo 😂

I have been eyeing that rose for a couple of years now.

I just wish I have some room😡

Beautiful, Witzend!
The last rose I bought was Cherry Bonica, recommended by a friend. Unfortunately it didn't survive being nibbled by deer. My established roses tolerate it, but not this one. sad

Some years ago I had ‘Abraham Darby’ from David Austin, it smells wonderful. ‘Geoffrey Hamilton’ also has a lovely fragrance.

Beautiful.
Unfortunately roses don't grow well in the gardens here, have tried over the years but they are not happy in our soil.

lol Oreo!
