I had crushes on Davy Jones of the Monkees - which I can hardly believe now - and Ilya Kuriakin out of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Weird.

Oh dear, I have always been a Star trek fan. The original Star trek that is.

My pin ups were Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock. Especially Mr. Spock. Am I the original nerd? I still like to watch Star trek when it comes on (usually only the movies these days , although I did catch a couple of episodes of the series being run on some farflung Eastern European channel a couple of years ago )

I was a huge fan of Donovan, I used to sing Jenifer Juniper to my DD to soothe her to sleep. Adam Faith was another, I carried photos of him in my wallet. I bumped into him, literally, in London many years later, and still felt that little flutter in my heart, and, yes, he was tiny, but so am I,(height wise anyway!)

No Glammanana, don't watch much TV at night, if I do I fall asleep after about 10 mins.

glammanana Fri 27-Jul-12 15:52:12

grannyinmypocket do you watch him in NCIS on late night TV.

grannyinmypocket Fri 27-Jul-12 15:11:34

Sorry wrong spelling, Illya Kuryakin!

feetlebaum Fri 27-Jul-12 12:57:48

Jelly-Roll Morton, Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Stan Kenton and Spike Jones... I still think they're pretty hot stuff!

grannyinmypocket Fri 27-Jul-12 12:28:48

I used to save up cards, I think they were out of bubble gum, when you put them together you could make a picture of Illya Kuriakin, I hated it when I got a card with Napoleon Solo on it!

grannyinmypocket Fri 27-Jul-12 12:24:48

Donovan, brilliant, I've recently bought one of his albums, he was referred to as "Britains Bob Dylan" I also loved Jim Morrison of the Doors!

Nonny Fri 27-Jul-12 08:47:31

Donovan, George Harrison, Walker Brothers. Twiggy had a big influence on how we wanted to look!

grannyinmypocket Fri 27-Jul-12 08:25:21

Yes , I'm up for being a groupie , but will have to wait until I reach the next world as thats where most of my idols are, mind you there's still Robert Plant,

glammanana Thu 26-Jul-12 15:43:37

Then he got married and had all those children in Little House on the Praire, why didn't he ask me ??

glammanana Thu 26-Jul-12 15:42:05

I used to wait all week for Michael Landon to come on in Bonanza as Little Joe Cartwright and would not allow my brother to speak whilst the programme was on.

nightowl Thu 26-Jul-12 14:04:27

Grannybug maybe we could become groupies? I'm up for it if you are grin

grannyinmypocket Thu 26-Jul-12 11:15:40

Crimson, yes Sabu was beautiful! you see I've always had a thing for men with long hair , thought it was a hippy thing, but he was the first one , so it's been since I was really young , I think I did see him in Jungle Book.

Grannybug Thu 26-Jul-12 00:20:31

Agree night owl! He only improves with age! smile

nightowl Wed 25-Jul-12 10:55:31

If only [swoon].. And let me say, he is one of the few men who still have that effect on me grin

Anagram Wed 25-Jul-12 10:49:07

You must both know him better than I do....wink

nightowl Wed 25-Jul-12 10:47:39

Grannybug YESSS I'm with you on both! Did you see Len on tour a couple of years ago. Incredible grin and worth waiting a lifetime for. I would run away with him tomorrow......

Grannybug Wed 25-Jul-12 09:57:34

Really Anagrams? He's always been Len in our house smilenot sure why though.

crimson Tue 24-Jul-12 16:28:57

grannyinmypocket; did you see Sabu in The Jungle Book. It was my favourite film when I was a child [and still one of my favourites now]. Sabu was quite, quite beautiful, wasn't he blush. Remember when 'Len' went through his 'monk' phase? Didn't last long, though.

Anagram Tue 24-Jul-12 12:40:32

Never heard anyone call him 'Len' before! grin
