Just our of interest, did anyone here support the Greenham Common women's peace camp way back in the 1980's? 40 years ago now.....

I lived nearby and took no part on it as I believed then and believe now that our peace and scurity wa/is dependent on the policy of MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction).

No one would attack us because of the damage we could do to them, and vice versa.

What was the outcome? Did they get their wish or did they just pack up and leave.

No, but I lived at the Greenham House in N London. Fed women, sent them on their way out to Greenham. Some stayed for a while.

I have always thought the same.
Obviously we weren’t told this at the time ( mid 80s) when our close friend was on nuclear subs but they went to red alert 3 times.
