GandTea Wed 29-Jun-16 22:06:48

I have used Algon patio cleaner a couple of times, works well, but does take a week or two.

Just had look on googleGT
But seems to be for Algae and moss
My problem is pure grime and dirt due to soil and mud.

I am a grand dad....am about to meet my grandkid this weekend for the first time, i want to know what i should do and don't do so that he will not be boring with me...

Elegran Mon 04-Jul-16 17:41:13

You don't say how old he is - a week? a year? 5? 10? 15? Different ages, different things will bore him. You don't tell us either why this is the first time you have seen him. That could make a difference to how you and he get on together.

Why you have chosen the username "bleedingheart"? Do tell us.

Are you excited BH?
GC are wonderful
I truly believe children know and accept their own Kin without preconceived ideas.
So put on your best smile
Listen to what they have got to say (if old enough to talk)
Ask about friends, Tv programmes
Music if teenager.
If a toddler a little magic trick goes down well
Can you ask in advance if little present is appropriate?
Try to be yourself.

Good luck. Let us now how you get on

GandTea Fri 08-Jul-16 08:55:02

Welcome to the shed Mumsy. WOW those cakes are too good to eat, but \i wll force myself.
The shed is a good place to talk about DIY, gardening, football, wives (that is a joke) etc etc.

Nannylovesshopping Fri 08-Jul-16 09:20:03

Mumsy, I've come into the shed just to see the cakes, did you make them, they are amazing

Mumsy Fri 08-Jul-16 09:42:53

Nannylovesshopping Fri 08-Jul-16 10:26:20

GandTea Fri 08-Jul-16 10:44:12

That's it, Mumsy gets a red card for cheating, tempting us with cakes we can't eat.

Nannylovesshopping Fri 08-Jul-16 11:37:04

But she did own up GandTea can't she just have a yellow card

Mumsy Fri 08-Jul-16 18:25:17

no idea what a red card is for so chucked it on the compost heap. grin

GandTea Fri 08-Jul-16 18:27:30

I would have agreed, but now she has abused the ref. it's double red.

Cherrytree59 Fri 08-Jul-16 22:44:16

Gononsuch Sat 09-Jul-16 08:32:59

Please, Tell me about bleedingheart

I thought his post was up to the usual standard for GN, a poster after some ideas for his first meeting with a GC and the I find out that he has been rumbled and removed from GN.

How did you find out ?hmm

Elegran Sat 09-Jul-16 09:08:00

That was bleedingheart's only public post on the forum, but he sent unwelcome private emails to quite a few posters.

PRINTMISS Sat 09-Jul-16 10:43:02

Dicky Sun 17-Jul-16 20:08:44

Hi there Bob. I've just joined. Is it safe in here. There seem to be some aggressive old biddies out there

GandTea Sun 17-Jul-16 20:24:16

Hello Dicky, you need to be careful how you talk about our Grannies, they can bite back.

Mumsy Mon 18-Jul-16 08:31:24
