Birthday for a teen

Why is the title of this thread 'Birthday for a teen' if your GD is only 7?

And my eldest gs is turning 15, how do give him something as lovely as a trip to London with friends? He is a lad not interested in London trips with GPs.

Well if you take a look at the Box Office for Wicked they say not suitable for children under 7s.. what do her parents think? I would probably take my own grandchild at 7 but not other peoples children, if they did get scared would you be comfortable comforting them?

I think it's a poorly thought request, I'd prefer her mum deal with a play like Wicked.

A London play, for her, also makes my gs birthday difficult.

Why do you think your GD is way too young?

And, can a 7 year-old have a poorly thought request?

I think it's an intense play for a 7 year old. Her request didn't seem to have any thought given.

She's barely 7...what do you expect?

I expected her to think before she asked.

Maybe I'm unreasonable to expect her to be polite. I don't think my GC should lack manners.

You, as her grandmother are on this forum asking for advice as to whether you should take her, yet you expect your very young GD to think before she asked?

Also Wicked is very long 2hrs 45mins so you'd probably have to go for a Saturday matinee at 2:30 if you did take them. They also have lots of tour dates for different cities so you may not have to travel to London.

Maybe I expected too much. I know I don't want to be used by a 7 year old.
