DD was admitted last night after a check for decreased foetal movements revealed high blood pressure at 38 weeks.
She only moved to her first home last week so her hospital bag was at mine.
I brought it up to hospital and now can't bring myself to leave her.
She has cannulas, a catheter, bp monitoring, foetal monitoring, and regular medication.
I work here (not a Midwife) so it's good to see familiar faces but I am not used to being 'on the other side' and it's so scary.
Just looking for a hand hold really confused

Congratulations Flaxseed and durhamjen. It seems a very long time since we had a collective baby to welcome on GN.

Congratulations too for you dj and your family. Hope you feel more rested tomorrow.

Also hope you can sleep flaxseed, a night shift is no small thing. Please try not to worry, easier said than done I know. Hoping your daughter is her usual self tomorrow.

Many congratulations Flaxseed. So glad your grandson arrived safely. Wishing your DD a speedy recovery, how good that you were with her.

Flaxseed Thu 31-Aug-17 19:35:42

Thanks DJ! I really do need to sleep. I'm on a night shift tomorrow night!

DD just text to say BP has gone up again.
I really hoped the delivery of GS would stop this!

But the kind posts on here have confirmed that's not always the case sad

Congratulations durhamjen and family xxx Well, what a busy time!!! flowers

durhamjen Thu 31-Aug-17 19:15:31

Thanks. I've just woken up having fallen asleep this afternoon.
You will catch up too, tomorrow, flaxseed, I hope.
Grandson found his lungs today, and opened his eyes - just to glare at people and then went back to sleep again. We don't know what colour his eyes are yet.

Congratulations DJ! There are several births being celebrated this week it seems. I've noticed before that babies do come in bunches.

Flaxseed Thu 31-Aug-17 17:57:23

What a lovely bunch you are!

Congratulations to Durhamjen too.

I am so tired, but can't sleep as DD is still vomiting. Her BP is better and they have taken more bloods to check renal function.
Baby passed meconium inside so is under observation too.

Thanks for all your positive stories. They are very reassuring.
