We are good for something after all.
It took our oldest DGS a long time to realise fully that his mother was our little girl grown up.

Yes, it was a revelation to our 2 elder at maybe 3, that Granny as Mummy’s mummy, and Grandpa was her daddy!

Somewhat off topic, but we once had a neighbour with a little boy who more than once told dh, ‘I’ve just seen your mother going to work.’ (I had an old style Beetle which was especially noticeable then because of Herbie in the film.)

His mother told me she despaired of getting him to understand the difference between mother and wife - I dare say it’s sunk in by now though - he must be pushing 50!
