Grandparents have no rights over their Grandchildren.
Worst case scenario..
I've read some stories and it sounds like a messy, expensive and upsetting experience for everyone involved. Usually the last resort and avoided at all costs as it's usually unsuccessful.
I'd still see a solicitor about it as the law may of changed.
However I think some Grandparents have managed to get occasional (I think monthly?) access. The court look at is as Child's rights rather than the Grandparents, I think there needs to be 'evidence' that the Grandparent has been a consistent role in their daily life, their upbringing etc and it will be a negative effect for the child if that Grandparent isn't in their life.
I'm sure someone will come along with more knowledge than me. Didn't want to read and run.
