Please, please, please pray for my precious 4 year old grandson, who has a lump on his neck and will soon be going for an operation/ biopsy on the lump. Whichever God you pray to, please remember to mention my little boy. I am in total anguish, not just for my grandson but for his parents, my son and daughterinlaw. It must be so hard for them. He is an active little boy and we are hoping there's nothing nasty going on. But even the thought of him having an operation scares me. When he went to see the Consultant, he was so scared, crying and didn't want to go. I know he is in good hands, and the Nurses will be specially trained to deal with their little patients. But I can't get him out of my head ...I am beside myself with worry. Thanks for listening xx

Your grandson his family and you will be in my prayers.
I do hope good news comes to you soon.

I will pray for the specialist and all nursing staff to keep your grandson in loving caring hands and hope all treatment is as
gentle as possible for him.

Can you believe this - no news yet. The specialist was supposed to be back from his holidays today, but nothing, no call. My poor d.i.l..... she is a walking skeleton. My son is very, very busy at work. Kept my d.i.l company for a few hours. Helped give the boys a bath, before bed. Trying to be positive. Please continue to keep my precious boy in your thoughts and prayers xx

This situation has started to get me all wound up . Why are the NHS ignoring potentially serious situations And leaving good people with so much worry ?

I will continue to hold your darling boy and his family in my thoughts every night CrazyH but someone is going to have to raise hell if you don’t get answers soon. xx

Oh, CrazyH. sadflowers

Dear crazy, this is intolerable for you and your DIL. I urge you to pick up the phone today, ring the Consultant’s office, make a noise, make a fuss, don’t let them keep you waiting and waiting. Sometimes it’s the only way to get your case to the top of their list (sadly). ? for you.

Juliet27 Tue 14-Jul-20 06:45:02

Do so hope you get news today Crazy

Grammaretto Tue 14-Jul-20 06:48:04

Sending hugs and prayers .

Callistemon Tue 14-Jul-20 09:54:06

This is unacceptable and someone else should have been taking on the Consultant's cases when he or she was away.

Yes, suggest that your DIL or DS phone the consultant's secretary and gets some answers.

Urmstongran Tue 14-Jul-20 10:09:11

crazyH I used to be a medical secretary to consultants in hospital. When one was on annual leave or off sick, patients would often ring up for results which were on the computer system. Consultants make arrangements for cover. I used to show them the queries, or to a rung down the Consultant’s senior Registrar and then ring the patient back.

Where there’s a will there’s a way! Good luck. Get mum to do it today.

GOOD NEWS !!!!!
D.i.l. has just heard from the Consultant - having looked at all the scans, blood results etc etc, they have decided that there is nothing nasty going on. He is a bit anaemic They will see him again in a few weeks to keep an eye on him, rescan, bloods again etc etc. Thank God ?and thank you all for your care and concern for my precious boy xx

That is the most wonderful news! crazyH, you must be ecstatic! I'm a bit tearful reading this! How precious our grandchildren are.

Dinahmo Tue 14-Jul-20 13:31:16

That's very good news.

For those of you who are still feeling sad about this little boy, check out Audrina the little girl recovering from cancer. The Jeremy Vine programme has been following her progress for several months. There are links on his website with little videos which are guaranteed to cheer the most hard hearted person

Brilliant news, Crazy! Hooray! You must be feeling that a huge weight has been lifted. Good that they’re keeping an eye on him.

Dinahmo, yes Audrina is lovely isn’t she! Such a great chatterbox.
