I don't want to scare GC

I am not in the best of health. What is a non-scary way of making sure my 6 year old GC would know what to do if I were taken ill while in sole overnight charge of them?

This had never been on my mind until today. They would have no way of alerting emergency services or family.

Should I show them how to make an emergency call on my landline? Obviously I could put my postcode next to the phone.

Neighbours are a possibility but first the child would need to know how to open the front door, not a big deal. Then it would be a question of which neighbour! No one springs to mind as being likely to be in, in good health and with an acccessible knocker or doorbell.

I’m probably overthinking a (hopefully) remote possibility but would ideas, relevant experiences. THank you in advance.

After the recent, unexpected death of my husband, it got me thinking about what my twin grandsons would do if I was incapacitated for some reason.
Thanks to Beavers, they knew how to put someone in the recovery position and that when calling the emergency services you should stay on the line so that the call could be traced.
They didn't know my address or how to operate my old phone however.
We worked out a list of things to do and I typed it up for them. It is now by the telephone.
They also had a crash course in using the phone.
They know they can call the next door neighbours for help too.
It may never happen but if it did, I'm now more confident that the boys know what to do.

I still have a landline, and one day we practiced calling their Mum, and they do know about 911 emergency line.

This is a good reminder that I should have a practice session with them.

Also, to teach them how to use the 'emergency' button on a locked cell phone, since that is what most of their parents have. I had to look it up myself.
