Here we go again...

NanaandGrampy Tue 15-Aug-17 08:46:18

Morning all !

Early start for us this morning as SiL needed a lift to the hospital for his second lot of injections in his back. Not that I went but Grampy made enough noise to wake the dead so its one up all up in our house !!

I'm impressed with tales of the soup maker and I may well have to get one this winter !

Those are one heck of a pair of shoes soop why are they not on display on a shelf ? they're practically art!!

You have my sympathy Corner its why having babies is a young woman's game I fear . One day with our GC takes me 2 to recover. So , I've invited Jackson for a sleepover this Friday!! smile

ah Granniequeenie I too am a big fan of macaroni cheese ! Please invite me next time as only young Cooper and I are fans.

Lovely picture of 2 cuties Nellie

Hoping for some better news from Maw today so shall pop back in later !!

Marydoll Mon 14-Aug-17 22:31:24

Swanny I have problems with dexterity and I buy packs of 10 styli (?) With a pen at the other end on eBay for £4 and they work well. The stylus does eventually wear out, but they are good value.

Maw Hope you get a sleep.

callgirl1 Mon 14-Aug-17 22:11:03

I looked Reiker shoes up on Amazon, those lovely shoes of Soop`s were £20 more in my size than any of the other sizes! Is there something special/complicated about size 6?
Maw, here`s hoping for a good night for Paw, and better news tomorrow x

Tizliz Mon 14-Aug-17 22:07:45

Maw need to pass GO before you can buy something from Jail. I do have a Barbour jacket from there but it was half price and my mil paid half.

Charleygirl Mon 14-Aug-17 21:46:30

Two lovely young fellows, Nellie.

Swanny save your money- I tried one this evening and instead of the light touch of my finger, I felt I was almost piercing the machine so I do not think that they are worth much.

Galen fabulous bargain-you will be belle of the ball next month. To pull up a zip, you fix a lengthy piece of string to the zip top, pull it up, remove the string- done. Try it before you put the dress on to get the hang of it. Handy if you are on your own which on that occasion you will not be.

Greyduster Mon 14-Aug-17 21:35:21

What a couple of handsome chaps, Nellie. (And 'Albert' used to be one of my favourite monologues!).

annsixty Mon 14-Aug-17 21:12:48

Lovely boys Nellie . I assume then that one of them isn't called Albert!! Or was the lion Albert?

aggie Mon 14-Aug-17 20:49:37

Galen that sound like a great bargain , and the pearls with it .......wow !

Nelliemoser Mon 14-Aug-17 20:31:08

Daddy took us to the Zoo yesterday. (No sticks with horses head handles. )

cornergran Mon 14-Aug-17 20:12:05

Sounds good galen, always like a bargain and seriously like Phase 8. More shopping tomorrow?

Thinking shopping, all this talk of Reiker shoes had me considering. I have two pairs of their boots and five pairs of shoes, all equally mad. My excuse reasoning is that they are so comfortable blush. Would recommend them to anyone with tender or simply difficult to fit feet. They are also surprisingly robust.

Guess we've all been thinking of maw and paw today, so many good wishes in the ether. Love to you both.

Jalima1108 Mon 14-Aug-17 20:03:23

Maw so sorry to hear the news, hope that Paw is responding and that they have got his meds right now.

Galen Mon 14-Aug-17 19:53:29

Was booked for two days in gloucester so staying at the travel lodge. Had just booked in when I got a message to say tomorrow has been cancelled!
Well I decided to stay as unpacked and all and went round the quays outlet centre. Got some replacement Denby plates for broken ones AND THEY HAVE A PHASE EIGHT OUTLET SHOP!
Got a lovely pale blue cocktail dress reduced from over £100 to £49!
Good job downsized is coming with me as it has a back zip and I can't do them!
Reckon the triple string of pearls with the sapphire and diamond clasp will go nicely with it!

grannyqueenie Mon 14-Aug-17 19:37:58

Yes they're both beautiful all through the seasons. We often watch the fisherfolk and wonder at their patience and stamina. Me? I'm too much of a fidget knickers grin

Greyduster Mon 14-Aug-17 19:29:09

A decent fly fishing reservoir gq, and Fewston too.

Swanny Mon 14-Aug-17 19:15:29

Charleygirl I think my single stylus cost me £4 from a market stall - I woz robbed! There is one of those places nearish to me so thanks, I will add it to my list of stuff to get from there smile

grannyqueenie Mon 14-Aug-17 19:14:13

It has been said that we do run a decent b&b here...evening meal optional! grin

Charleygirl Mon 14-Aug-17 18:48:29

grannyqueenie macaroni is my favourite dish- do you take in lodgers?!

grannyqueenie Mon 14-Aug-17 18:44:39

It was Swinsty, greyduster just up the road from us and one of our favourite haunts .

Charleygirl Mon 14-Aug-17 18:43:48

Swanny cheapskate here has the same problem with fingers. The fingers on my left hand are very swollen because I am forever tapping this keyboard.

I bought 5 styluses ?styli for my Smart phone for £1 with a name to match the bill and the word land after it. If they do not work I will not have spent a fortune. Is there one near you?

Greyduster Mon 14-Aug-17 18:35:22

Grannyqueenie I meant to ask you where the reservoir in your photo was?

Swanny Mon 14-Aug-17 18:31:55

soop I have one of these new-fangled laptop doodahs. I've also got a smart thingy but my fingers are too fat for that keyboard and I can never find where I left the stylus whatsit grin

grannyqueenie Mon 14-Aug-17 18:31:13

Have had a half a mind on Mawand paw while busy grannying extensively negotiating with an 8 and 10 year old who just have such different tastes in everything including food! They are both such lovely girls....grin but compromise is a hard thing to learn. Fortunately macaroni cheese is a favourite with them both!

soop Mon 14-Aug-17 18:20:36

Hello, mcem, I'm logging off for tonight. No smart thingy, or tablet...just an old fashioned computer. I'm so last century. wink moon

soop Mon 14-Aug-17 18:18:31

Please come in more often, Cherrytree59 there's plenty of room. No squabbles! The more the merrier! grin

Okay, 'you lot' if I tell you that the shoes were bought with an Amazon voucher (from one of my sons) twelve months ago, I may feel duty bound to give them an airing. Thanks for your positive remarks.

Maw When I return tomorrow, I hope that you will have had a restful night and that there is better news of Paw.

mcem Mon 14-Aug-17 18:10:56

Like several here, I just pop in occasionally but wanted an update from maw. Hang on in there...x
