Welcome, Tweets1964. We are a friendly bunch here.

Tweets1964 Tue 19-Mar-19 22:49:57

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum. I am not a Gran - 3 children and none in relationships... [hmmm] Maybe one day...

I initially joined after googling about plastic surgery and found myself on here of all places. wink I then noticed there are other forum subjects, too. Menopause -- sigh.

I love the outdoors and walk regularly, albeit that's to keep fit.

I've got 4 chickens: Barbie, Sindy, Mabel and Miss Muffet. Barbie and Sindy were ex battery hens.

That's all for now.

Hi all. I'm new - well, new to Gransnet and grandparenting: my granddaughter was born 3 weeks ago yesterday. Unfortunately I don't have any cake, but I do have a cup of tea.

welcome on board lindadrew

lindadrew Tue 12-Mar-19 17:15:32

hope to meet up with other grandparents who also feel isolated from grandchildren and wish they could see more of them. I feel it is outside forces preventing meetings as it happened with my father, grandfather, cousins etc

lindadrew Tue 12-Mar-19 17:13:46

too smiley but ok

lindadrew Tue 12-Mar-19 17:07:30

Charleygirl5 Sat 09-Mar-19 16:06:56

Welcome *Gustheguidedog I am partially sighted with AMD, the dry variety so no cure and probably not in my life time.

Hello, I am blind and so, therefore, must use the computer with specialised audible software. I usually listen to GransNet whilst at our Blind Club which we like to call VIP Club - VIP = Visually Impaired People. I'd just like to say thank you on behalf of everyone here for creating a group about something close to our hearts (our Grandchildren

Oh if any of you have any VIP friends and want help/information then please just ask

I've been on here a little while but I'm damned if I can remember when I joined. I think I drifted in from Mumsnet - or did I? We're kinder on here.
I like to read others' opinions and ideas. I love the limericks - they are very inventive. I got over-excited about them and duplicated a new one - silly me!
My head isn't fluffy - honest! I'm quite serious but I suppose 'you could say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one' as John Lennon sang.
