I think I've got the name right.
Its a hair oil for use on dry or damp hair. Two drops on the palm of my hand rubbed lightly over my hair transforms it!

Hello Floradora9, I used to love those little tubes of Vitapointe and they lasted for ages. I would put a tiny bit in my palm, rub my hands together then smooth over my hair. Not too much as didn’t want to make hair look greasy. I think I have a tiny bit left in a tube which I’ve been saving but nothing I have bought has come close to the Vitapointe! I’ve tried Argon oil, coconut oil and numerous other things to put on my dry hair, especially the dry ends. I now tend to use a leave in conditioner after washing my hair, but as my hair is shoulder length, I like to put something through the ends which helps them to wave. I thought the company that made the original Vitapointe was no longer in existence, so where have you seen it for sale? I wouldn’t mind paying £24 or so, if it was as good as the original and lasted as long!

After trying just about everything, I use this on damp hair. It’s a cheap as chips, around £2, from Supersave and other chemists.

I remember using Vitapointe as a young teenager, I sneaked it from my sister. Trouble was I squeezed a line of it along my parting!

Second vote for Vitasoft. Same ingredients, and perfume.

Wow, haven't thought or heard of vitapoint for years. My mother used to put it on my hair when I was a child, to try and tame the thick wayward curls. Wish I still had them now!

Never heard of it, but a little argan oil on a cotton wool pad and pulled downwards on the hair works well.

Gosh, I didn’t know you could still buy this. Reading this just brought to mind my Mum using this when I was a teenager. The cupboard under the sink was where the Vitapoint, Pond’s cold cream, camay soap and some things called Bile Beans were kept.

Tiggi Bedhead After Party. My hairdresser told me when he used it on my hair it was just like the old Vitapponte. It is about £12 but would last you for years. The Moroccan oil is good but you only need a drop. I smear it on the palm of my hand then run my brush over it to get an even distribution.

This is another item which has been discontinued. Why? I dislike using post shampoo conditioner....all that waiting with dripping hair! I use argon oil, which you apply to damp hair. It's not quite as good as Vitapointe, but better than nothing. My hair is wavy and won't lie flat!

One day I was applying face cream, what was left on my hands I rubbed over my hair and it came up beautifully shiny and manageable, not sticky or greasy. I now use it for my hair all the time.

I think about my mother using this every time I use John Frieda ‘Frizz Ease’ but looking at previous comments I’m going to try cheaper options as this is also quite expensive!!

I find Frizz-Ease cream is brilliant and a tube lasts for ages. Look out for the two for one offers in the chemist
