I have on many occasions asked for advice on these forums but this time it is really serious, my cancer is not responding to chemo and has not been killed in my lymph glands. Any advice how to cope with this situation, I don't feel ill or weak or ready to depart this life and will fight with all guns blazing but what can I say to myself in the small hours when I am scared.

Welcome home - so glad you are back in your own comfortable bed. Try not to worry too much - complications are rare and the medics are on top of these things.

ethelbags Now that you're back home, I'm sure you'll feel more relaxed. Hospitals do a wonderful job but the continual noise and activity isn't conducive to a good night's sleep.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Didn't think I would have so many friends to give me all these good wishes.
I stayed on my own last night and as its fine this morning, I will just relax, maybe sit in the garden which now looks like a wilderness, I asked DD if she maybe could cut the grass one day and she looked blank and said 'Ive never cut grass before'. Oh dear Ive never trained her very well have I.

I guess I have pampered my little lass over the years, my fault. Will just have to ask someone else or maybe see if I can find someone with a spare goat/sheep etc. Having said this I might just let it grow into a meadow, throw some wild flower seeds and leave it, DGD will love romping in the long grass and Ive never been fond of well tended park like lawns (no disrespect to anyone who takes a pride in their lawns but its just not for me).
