Hysterectomy.

Hi,this is my first post! I am having the above op;next Thursday,never having been in hospital before am feeling scared!! Has anyone had this op;maybe could share some advice tips on what to take in,as very little information has been given.Thanks in advancesad

I had the op and it changed my life for the better. Please take note of the long recovery period. I felt so well after and tried to do things about 4 weeks after the op. I really paid for it . I think that because I looked well on the outside I should try to do things in case it was thought of as ‘milking it’

I had a sub-total hysterectomy at 50. Had suffered bleeding and horrible pain for 2 weeks every month due to fibroids and endometriosis. Huge relief to get rid of the offending article, pain and bleeding! My energy levels were quickly restored to normal again. Take it easy when you get home and eat a healthy diet with plenty of veggies so you don't get constipated.
