It is not usual for me to make personal comments but if the DoC's family are not concerned about her weight I feel they should be. This is not a good example to young people. In today's press her body looks positively emaciated.

Yes rose quartz, Im sure my height means people think I'm thin when I'm not

Same here, Iam64, although I'm only 5'7". The heaviest I've ever been was 11 stone 4lb in my twenties (apart from when I was pregnant), and even then I didn't actually look overweight.

Now I'm just over 9 stone people often seem to think I'm too thin, even if they only refer to it in a roundabout way...hmm I am actually a perfectly healthy weight for my height, thank you!

I really feel sorry for the Dof Cambridge having everyone, including Gransnet, talking about her. Her weight will be commented on whatever she does.
Does no one remember the stress princess Diana was put under by all this intrusive comment on her appearance and her size. No wonder she had eating problems. For heaven sake let's leave the comments on her weight etc to the tabloid press.

The D of Cornwall is of a different generation where body image was not such an issue as it is now for younger "celebrity" women. She is a mature woman who looks totally confident with her appearance.

We can change our fashion sense, it can be improved quite easily but generally we are stuck with our body size, shape and features.

We would not comment on the size of other Gnrs why should we do this to "celebrities".

Yes, very similar here Ana 11 stone 4 r 6 at my heaviest (other than pregnancies) I've been around 10 stone 10 - 12 for the 15 years I've been weighed at the rheumatology department either every 3 or 6 months. Evidently my BMI is good as well.

Your 9 stone must be due to your commitment to the low carb diet. It is interesting how many people feel it's within their right to tell us we're too thin isn't it.

I wish I was as thin as Kate, Amal and Angelina! They look effortlessly sophisticated, whether casual or formal. And as they are grown women, I don't think there's any cause for concern.

Iam64, have to put you right there - I am not and never have been on the low carb diet! You're probably confusing me with Anya (which has happened before...wink)

Oh sorry Ana, I don't usually confuse you with Anya but you're right, I must have. In that case, your weight is very impressive.

The answer is YES

She has a beautiful face but far too skinny. Diana was the same, a beauty but again to thin. Must be anxiety that causes it.

Ana Fri 30-Oct-15 18:03:33

Diana never struck me as being particularly skinny, but that's probably because she was bigger-boned than Kate, who is really quite slight, so any weight loss is more obvious.

To quote one of my very favourite celebrities
"I'm not overweight, I'm just under tall"
Who said that?

Re her weight at university, I believe it's quite normal for young women to put on weight at university, due to drinking and eating not- so - healthy food. It must be easier to maintain a perfect figure if there are staff to provide healthy food , a personal trainer and easy access to a pool and a gym. Most women of Katherine's age would love to have a figure like hers , and would not consider her too thin.

She is thin ,but then so was my DD whilst breast feeding ( she continued until DGD was 3)! I must say I was very worried about her but got a sharp rebuke when expressing my concerns and was told when I suggested she stopped feeding, that I had probably damaged her pyscologically by weaning her at one year- that was when I shut up ! DD is now pregnant again ,and I will keep quiet this time .
