Oh what rubbish! Apparently to get the best from it I have to do 30mins of Tai chi twice a week instead of the 1 hour once a week I currently do! And the condescending comments will drive me to drink (or chocolate!!!)

completely patronising and, as others have said, they didn't take into consideration that if you're disabled you find it difficult, if not impossible, to exercise.

i got 6 out of 10 but told a few fibs about the food choices - although i told the truth about choosing chips and also burgers!!!

i don't exercise and i don't eat my 5 [or is it 7] a day. i do eat vegetables but find it difficult to eat the requisite number of portions in one day. i don't snack on fruit or vegetables so that only leaves my main evening meal to use the entire day's allocation [never even wanted to think about putting fruit on my cereal!].

and how dare they give me little "tips" and "hints" about my lifestyle - i've lived all this time without them - having them tell me how to live my life now isn't happening!!!

so, that's me - 69 next birthday, overweight, disabled with arthritis and unable to walk very far. however much they tell me that i can improve myself i just plain don't want to!!! i'll live out my allocated lifespan, whatever that is, and enjoy myself doing it - i don't want to be the oldest woman in england and miserable - i just want to be ME and happy.

I have just done this test and got 10/10 without lying (except I didn't give my real name or my e-mail address as I don't want to be on the health Stazi's radar). The catagories and questions are all related to health and are more or less sensible. However, the language is patronising to say the least. Possibly, 'an insult to intelligence' might be nearer the case.

I object to taxpayers' money being spent on this twaddle. Everyone knows what they SHOULD be doing to stay healthy and they don't need telling again at a public cost of millions. The truth is that while individuals know how to be fit, healthy and slim, human nature is venial and incorrigible and any number of warnings of 'STEP AWAY FROM THE CAKE/WINE/PEANUTS' etc.are not going to succeed.

Utter patronising nonsense. I got six out of ten, but I didn't bother to answer any of the fitness ones because none of the exercise I take during the week is of the variety that will make me breathe hard or my heart race! That doesn't mean I don't take any exercise.

If I has taken this quiz in my 40s I would have got 10/10- went to a class at gym every day but life takes over. I used to walk dog 3-5 miles a day but then she died (probably worn out although she was 18).
Now it is just not right to get another dog- one day when GCs are older & I'm not needed so much. I don't want to walk in cold & rain at 6am anymore & as I don't have to- I don't!

What annoyed me about quiz was no mention of HOUSEWORK which can be very strenuous & done every day - well some of it. I know I could do with losing some weight & have just stared 5:2- which works for me but I also enjoy baking- especially for GC. You have to taste it don't you.
If this is aimed at 40 somethings then OK - maybe but it is not realistic for 60+- or am I making excuses? Pass the Pinot!

Totally agree with the 'patronising drivel' comments. I was told off for having 1 bottle of wine spread over 2 weekend days and nothing during the week. It inferred that it was better to drink it every night !

I got 6 but I find it difficult to answer some questions as I sometimes go to the gym a lot and sometimes [eg now] haven't been for a while. Same with walking etc and eating vegetables. And it seems to assume that, as I only drink sometimes, when I do I binge drink.

I was green for everything except wine, which was orange (8/10). My 8 small glasses spread over the week with three days off was still within their recommended guidelines, but apparently I might feel much better if I didn't drink that. (Obviously some very hard evidence underpinning that judgement hmm).
Happily as I am in France the UK guidelines don't apply to me. grin

They make no allowance for having a bit of happiness in life. At this rate we'll all die of health anxiety. Can't be good for people to be always worrying about this kind of thing. hmm

8/10 because I don't exercise to meltdown every day. I've just run my first 5k.

Most annoyed by the drink stuff. I put once a month, 1-2 glasses of wine which is about true. And was warned to watch my drinking. FFS.

Who wrote this patronising rubbish? They don't take into account why you may not be getting enough exercise. I recently had a knee replacement and have asthma, so I can't do much strenuous exercise. Maybe they should ask a few general health related questions first.

Over the last week? 85km ish ish. What's that in old money? About 53 miles I think. Though Saturday was a bit of a write-off what with lounging in bed and eating chocolate for most of the day

Well I'm a binge drinker and didn't know it. I admitted to having a couple of glasses of wine at weekends and not drinking alcohol during the week. Apparently it's naughty of me to 'save up' my 'allowance' and then 'splurge'! I'm supposed to 'spread' my drinking though the week! What tosh!

Stupid. got 6. praised about everything but drinking but I probably got that wrong because I don't understand the unit system. I have about 3 to 4 alcohol free days so that can't be bad and anyway my French surgeon says I should drink a glass of red wine a day to help my blood. Given that the French have the right work/life balance right I will follow his advice. And I'd much go out sooner - sideways with a glass in my hand saying 'Wow, what a ride' and be remembered as such. Back to my glass of wine (one hour ahead so the sun has gone over the yardarm). and guess what - I'm HAPPY!!

Patronising drivel has already been said, but it seems to be the best description. I was told I don't drink much, but should spread it out over the week (after I'd claimed to drink half a bottle of wine 5 days a week - I don't, btw, I just wanted to test out the quiz). Actually, if I was drinking so much, I'd be having 23 units, so yes, I would be going well over the 14 unit guideline....
