Good news

Thank you all of you! She is at home now and doing well. We hope having had this virus she will not develop anything later that will impact on her future life. She's gaining weight and seems content. So fingers crossed!

No, I've never heard of this either - how worrying for you all. I do hope your little GD makes a full recovery, with no lasting effects

Thank you for your good wishes. We have no idea how she caught this virus. There have been outbreaks in Australia. No one seems to know about it. My daughter's GP didn't have a clue. But the Royal Surrey hospital have been wonderful .
