Just got the results of my DXA scan and I have secondary spinal osteoporosis. No symptoms whatsoever - GP only asked for scan due to amount of oral steroids I've been on this year and this appears to be the root cause. I saw a locum GP who has prescribed medication but now I'm home I have a few questions I'd like answered so think I will make appt for GP next week. Is this the best medication for me? Are there alternatives? Can I improve bone density by other means (as well as taking meds) ? I know it's not life threatening, just another in my list of creaking gate issues, but could do without another thing to deal with
