I have been given citalopram, sertraline and now fluoxetine (Prozac) all lowish doses. I tried each for 2 months. Nothing has helped. I still can’t get out of bed in the morning and sleep off and on all day. Everything that happens in my life is insurmountable. I find it hard to cope. I dont want to go out. I try and pull myself together but it’s hard.
Has anyone taken any antidepressant that have actually worked for them and at what dose?

Hi - you have all my sympathy - i have been there/done that/got the t-shirt!!
Finally I have ended up taking Paroxetine, which works for me although I know some have problems with it. I was sent on CBT and self-esteem courses which didn't suit me at all; then I was referred to a local counselling team. I found them gently and non-judgmental - you don't need that, you do enough of it for yourself - am I right??!! Whatever comes next for you, stick with your GP, take the advice about getting out in the garden or into the wild world of nature, and believe that one day this too will pass.
