Scared she’s not coming home

So much suffering for you all as you go through this - the only consoling thought is your DiL is peaceful and not in pain. Your poor son and her family - it's unbearably sad. We are all here for you when you need the strength to carry on

As with others, you’ve been on my mind all day today. What a sad situation for you all, especially those little ones. My heart goes out to you as you try to support everyone. I’m glad you feel able to come on here and say it like it is and feel supported by folk here. It’s the most awful thing to be going through and there are no easy answers to any of it. All I can do is continue to hold you in my thoughts and prayers.

It is a blessing that your DIL is not suffering, but the pain for you all seems beyond words and it must be taking so much strength to give the children a calm centre through this storm.

Better news. My DiL is now regain consciousnes and has regognised my son. Her speech is returning. They’ve said she out of immediate danger. The thought is that the radiotherapy had caused her brain to swell and that caused the seizures. I just wish the doctors hadn’t been so pessimistic. When she arrived by ambulance they told my son that she may not recover and that in the circumstances they wouldn’t try to resuscitate her. He was truly terrified and in turn so were the rest of us. Of course the treatment for the brain cancer can’t go ahead just yet but eventually it will have to be re started. I just can’t thank you all enough you helped me through what was one of the worst 24 hours of my life. It was truly awful and you were all magnificent. I am soo very grateful that you took the time to comfort me and who knows all those positive vibes and prayers may very well have helped. Thank you
