dragonfly so sorry to hear your news. Treatment options have come on a pace and early diagnosis is always a plus. Take heart from those who have been through it and still going strong. Despite all the negative press, the NHS have got my DH through many things including cancer so take heart. You ar in my prayers and those of many others I am sure. x

dragonfly I know just how you feel as I have "been there and done that".
It is a very low time and the only thing on your mind.
I had my tests 19 years ago today, diagnosis one week later and op one week after that.
Be positive and know just how good treatment is today, many thousands of people to testify to that.
Use all of the professionals there to see you through this and know we are all with you every step of the way.

I’m so sorry to hear your news dragonfly it must’ve been such a shock. It sounds like they are pushing ahead quickly in terms of a plan for treatment. I hope it all goes well (((hugs)))

Good afternoon Dragonfly I was not really functioning too well yesterday so thought I would pop back to see how you are. So many emotions chasing you around - you are in my thoughts. Would it be appropriate to take a friend to your next appointment? I will keep an eye on the thread to see how you are going. Meanwhile, eat well and rest if you can.

Thank you all for your best wishes. I am trying to stay upbeat. I am already on medication so hoping that will work to shrink this tumour and any others that are lurking!!

I’m thinking of you too dragonfly and I am on the roller coaster ride too Kateycrunch. I have my lumpectomy on Thursday of next week having been on the roller coaster since September 2nd. I had two biopsies because the first was inconclusive (was told the day before the result was due) then a delay in having the second biopsy because the first caused a lot of bruising. Then the dreaded result and after being offered the lumpectomy the following week having to wait to see a haematologist because my platelet count is low. I send my very best wishes to all of you on the roller coaster ride.

Jane43 and Kateycrunch I wish you both well. Katey I hope the lumpectomy goes well - I get my results that day.

Good wishes to all making this difficult ride - it is often the waiting that is the worst thing. My thoughts are with you all.
