... sorry everyone. Its early I know but am feeling really low about myself. I have to go out soon with my OH to get my car in garage for unknown problem. Really suffering this morning and I feel agitated and 'hopeless'. Hate myself tbh.

I am so sorry to hear this but don’t you be sorry, it is not your fault!
Just try and take it slowly. Take it a step at a time.
Take a few deep breaths and think why am I feeling like this.

Thanks dragonfly just posted again ? this feeling is overwhelming. I met my Sister and family yesterday none of whom get depression. It was SO tough seeing happy optimistic people. I think it just made me feel SO much worse about myself. xx

Do you take medication? Have you seen a doctor? There are so many people out there who can help. Can you talk to your DP.

dragonfly thank you SO much, I suffered so much abuse as a child ... I know its affected my mental health but I can't seem to cope at times ... X

Yes btw dragonfly Im on ADs and having counselling. I've been down this road before (so many times) but believe me when I say that even getting your response has helped. Its this awful aloneness of depression that I find SO hard to cope with! ? xx

Yes "baby steps" today you're right ... OH just in the shower (he's understanding btw but doesn't 'get' these kind of forums. I find great comfort) Thank you dragonfly Wish I could stay home today in safety but our (car appt) is early so need to leave shortly ? xx

You can do it just think I am there in spirit helping you along until you are home again. I am pleased you are getting help and DH is understanding. I think they don’t get the forums because they feel excluded.

Thinking of you too very much. I can relate to so much of what you say. You mentioned about family and how much they can trigger you by their "happy and optimistic " outlook. I get that feeling and sensation and it is not nice and posted about this earlier above regarding friends and family also being so jolly and triggering me. Would be glad to hear if anyone else has experience of this.

Canonlytry l promise you that you are not alone. Many of us on this forum feel very rough emotions particularly in the morning time. Sadly that is part of anxiety. I pray some day to be free of it. One hour at a time is sometimes a way to get through a rough day like this.

We are not alone and l hope we can help each other.

Maw that is very true. The problem with mental illness is that it cannot be seen and people do not know how to treat it. Also, as with my mother, it can come completely out of the blue. She turned into a different person. Fortunately she was lucky and had a good doctor who referred her immediately and she was put on the 'magic' tablets as she called them.

That's it Maw we get: Snap out of it, Pull yourself together, There are a lot of people out there with serious illnesses....

Living with depression, anxiety can be a daily battle, at the end of a bad day we feel we have run a marathon, exhausted, muscles taut , but no medal for us.

I award medals to everyone here , not because it is for me to award medals but because I choose to .
