I work in a shop that sells various items for caravan and motorhomes. It sounds boring but its not we are trained to give info on gas and electric and all that you would need. its a great job im just very depressed at the mo x

I am spending more time talking to my younger daughter, my mother in law is dying and my younger daughter is distressed, she is very fond of her paternal grandmother.

Therapy went well this morning, and a chap from the council came to measure the handrail for the front path .

Hi all. Sad for you, Annie, about Mil but some positives re that the therapy went well and some progress on hand rail.
Feel a bit brighter this morning. Had tickets for a poetry reading last night. DH didn’t’t feel up to driving so went with DD. (He looked after DGC who were allowed tablets so no probs there.) It’s the first time in ages I have been absolutely keen to go out. I was determined not to miss it. Poet was Carol Ann Duffy. She was brilliant.
Hope rest of you are having better day too.

I have volunteered for a drugs trial, doing something for others I felt would help cheer me up. Gives me an opportunity to feed back in.

Anyway a self care day today, a homemade pizza ( well with a frozen Waitrose pizza base lol) resting my back.

Does anyone else have self care things they do? ?

hello all better day today, many laughs at work. annie fantastic news that things are moving with handrail. sparkly i went to wales at the end of april with DH SIL DD and DGD myself and DD had a lovely morning at the spa with the best massage. At home i never get chance to have a self care anything. x

annie it would appear i have been adopted by a older cat. I have been giving him cuddles but not feeding him as i thought he belonged to someone but apparently not. So hopefully tonight i,m gonna see him shut him in a room and get him to the vet tomorrow as hes got a sore neck and to check for a chip

Oh the guilt, mother in law in hospital, only family she has is us five , I am the only one who lives here but a bus journey of 20 miles then 5 floors in a lift, I cannot do it.
We haven’t had contact for over 20 years so at least she isn’t
asking for me.

Annie lovely you supporting your family supporting your MIL....mine has long passed, my MiL was lovely but was finished off by a mistake during a hip op at the Royal Glam. My exDH had to decide to switch her off, he’s never got over it.

sparkly i hope so. I am doing everything to find his owners but so far 2 possible owners have drawn a blank. which i,m sort of glad about cos thats one step closer to him being mine ha ha.

Hi all. just finding life hard at the mo... hi Annie yes Annie my grandson is left handed don’t realise how hard things are for left-handed people. We were in Florida Disney in February there was a shop that sold lot of thinks for left handed people, a pen what?.. couldn’t get my head round that but it works he loves it.. we met a man that was left handed and told us to buy anything we could because they work. So we do.. but he still struggling with cricket haha ..
