tricia anything happening can unsettle us all. I’m so sorry your op has been cancelled. That’s happened twice to my DH so I know how you feel. You get all psyched up for it and then ...anti climax. Try and relax. It will happen. You will be ok. This too will pass as they say. Meanwhile feel free to join us here in the gang anytime you feel the need.
We are due to spend Christmas with our sons. Hopefully all will go well but have told them both if something crops up we will understand.
Try and relax all. This dark winter weather does not help. xx

Thank you Doodle, for your kind encouraging words. I was in theatre gown etc., just waiting to go to theatre & the Surgeon came in to say he had been told to take 6 patients off his list.
My family had paid to rent an apartment as the hospital I need to go to is 4 hours away.
My SIL had rearranged business meetings for all of last week to take me down.
I guess it's happening all over.
NHS, is at breaking point.

Lovely sunny day here in Mid Wales, I should be cheery but am not.

Central heating went off Sunday evening, Son in law who isn’t
brought an electric heater for me. Heating came back yesterday mid day, spoke to housing repairs, someone will call
this afternoon so leave the thermostat alone, temperature in bungalow is now 26 and I am roasting, sunshine through window and heating stuck on high.

Recycling not been collected for two weeks, 18 bungalows but
the refuge dept have 17 bungalows on their list so they ignore
one bungalow, mine.

Still waiting to hear from the said council if they have had a change on mind and will not replace my windows in December,

My sincere condolences about all your household woes. It is so infuriating when things act up and when you are waiting in for fixers and menders.
It will pass but still a nuisance.

I am still hear had to cancel our holiday only just getting over the nasty bug so no sunshine in the Caribbean for us this year, maybe get chance in the new year.

Hi my friends. Annie you have been putting up with a lot. Hope all gets better soon.
Now DH got bit stroppy with me over something so silly. So why do I now have tum knot and bit upset and he is quite content watching tv. aaaagh!

flutterby because we are sensitive we feel things more intensely,

I believe all who are stressed, anxious etc, either have tummy problems or headaches, caused by tension.

With tummy churners, upsets, worries etc can set us off, but
so can excitement . I realised a long time ago when the room gets chilly my tummy starts to churn, daft I know but we are so tuned in .

My younger daughter phoned me this evening, said they would be here next Wednesday morning until Friday, yes tummy started.

Joce I can’t forget how you felt when you first joined us, you are doing so well, be kind to yourself, you had the virus, the
disappointment of the cancelled holiday, and I think talk of
Christmas starts too early.

Forgot, my recycling was missed again this week. I rang council and said I will put it in the wheelie bin, was told ‘you will be fined’ , I said I know but I won’t pay so you can take me to court, I have witnesses and photographs of the build up of the recycling, cardboard boxes are taking over the bungalow.

We shall see.

Hi Annie so we may see you on the evening news ‘GRANSNET GRAN GOING TO COURT OVER RECYCLING BIN NOT BEING UPLIFTED - I think not’. It is so infuriating when things like this happen and you are left with the hassle of it all.
With regards to your comments re my last post. You just understand so much Annie. It really helps. I too understand how you are feeling re your daughter visiting but I think you know that.
I still think you are a fab lady.
Joyce so sorry to hear of you being unwell and cancelling your hols. I had to cancel my holiday this year due to anxiety and felt so guilty at disappointing my husband and myself but it just was not the right time for me.

Isn’t the tummy thing funny (well not really but you know what I mean). You can be going along fine then something comes into your mind and the tum starts fluttering. I have noticed with me I start getting hot. I realise it’s panic brewing and try to stop myself.
I have started saying The Lord is my Shepherd as I lay down to sleep at night. I say it to myself slowly and quietly. Every time I get to the bit where I say thy rod and thy staff they comfort me, I get a calming feeling inside. In my mind I can picture that staff being used for protection and guiding and I feel safer.

yes husband was disappointed re: holiday, I was very stressed about going anyway. but he’s is understanding, can’t go if you are not well.. we can try again in the new year hopefully.

was full put it in the house hold bin she couldn’t get over that.

But they say they will fine you how bad is that what do they want you to do with it. Think this could be one for face book..

Tummy churning is horrible , I get it too.

A very large refuge collection lorry with three men turned up
today, for my two recycling boxes !

Doodle I agree , the 23rd psalm is comforting and reassuring.

It is worth everyone finds words which calm, a prayer, a song,
an affirmation, I place my hand on my tummy and repeat
‘This too will pass ‘. It’s true because it always passes doesn’t it ?

Our collection hasn’t happened yet because when the refuse truck arrived the men found it was broken and after about 20 kicking it and trying to forge it to work, they gave up and drove off ?

Hi annie and all. Been busy doing nothing or so it seems. Went out for a walk in the drizzle today. Such fun ☔️ quite windy and cold so glad to get back indoors.

Annie just a wee message to say enjoy your daughters visit tomorrow. I know we can be anxious when visitors be it family or friends are coming but just remember it’s you they are coming to visit so please do not put any extra stress on yourself and I will try do the same for my Christmas visitors.
I am sure you will have a lovely time and when they have gone put your feet up and relax knowing that you are glad you had time together.

Bought Christmas tree. Bit on the large side. It’s now up and sooooo pretty. If I know how to send a pic I would but I don’t.
