Anniebach Fri 20-Dec-19 22:16:37

Hi all x

Sillygrandma so pleased you found such comfort and support from your friend. Good friends are a blessing.

Joyce I was concerned for you, I had cause to be but didn’t know. What a stressful time for you, take care and be kind to
you x

For you ? x

Doodle Fri 20-Dec-19 22:45:27

joce my goodness that sounds nasty. I hope you are ok. Do they know what caused it? Take things easy now and make sure you don’t overdo it.
sillygrandma glad you had a good time with your friend.
Sleep well all xx

Doodle Sat 21-Dec-19 20:06:43

I am exhausted. Had such a worrying day I am worn out with it. Can’t say what it is but just pray all will be ok in the end. My poor DGS is there no end to what he has to go through. Small light at the end of the tunnel so praying that the Lord will get him through this yet again.
Going to have a stiff drink now because I need it.
Hope everyone else is ok. xx

rafichagran Sun 22-Dec-19 18:50:49

I am lying on the settee, beautiful real tree, presents all around and candles lit. It all looks lovely, so why do I feel so low all of a sudden, depressed, anxious, and very fatigued.
Had colonoscopy last week which was stressful, and I am still in alot of pain, just wonder if its that bringing me down.
No money worries, partner who I love and Grandchildren. I feel guilty posting this but it feels like a thread where I can write it down.
I just feel depressed and in pain and not happy like I should be feeling. This is odd for me as I love Christmas.

eilyann Sun 22-Dec-19 19:42:58

Doodle Just seen your latest posts. Will say a special prayer for you tonight.

Anniebach Sun 22-Dec-19 20:16:21

Hi all x

Welcome rafichagran sorry you are going through a down time. Please never, ever feel guilty for posting here, all of us who post here have anxiety, depression, phobias, stress.

A colonoscopy is unpleasant and the worry leading up to it is
stressful.

You are in pain, naturally you feel unhappy, Christmas is
stressful even when we love every minute of the day.

I don’t wish to be intrusive, have you had the results ?

Keep posting, you are among friends here who fully understand x

rafichagran Sun 22-Dec-19 20:40:13

Thanks AnnieI have been on low dose of citalopram for years, and coped. I just feel bad now, joyless in fact. I also know their are worse off than me, but I guess I cannot help the feelings that come. I am trying to find the trigger even after all these years

Anniebach Sun 22-Dec-19 20:50:25

rafichagran there are people worse off and better off than all
.of us, depression can hit anyone , you cannot help the feelings
it brings , if you had measles you couldn’t help having a rash
could you ?

Telling anyone who is depressed - ‘you have nothing to be depressed about , snap out of it is as daft as telling someone with measles to rub the rash off.

So please don’t judge yourself, you have had depression in the
past and came through the bad times ? You will again. X

Dawn22 Sun 22-Dec-19 23:09:54

Thinking of you Doodle and Joce and hoping for better days shortly for both of you.

Welcome Rafichagran. You are amongst friends here.

Hello Annie and l hope you and everyone sleeps well tonight. ??

Christmas blessings to all.

Dawn xx.

Doodle Sun 22-Dec-19 23:41:33

eilyann and dawn thank you for your kind thoughts.
rafichagran I find sometimes a melancholy creeps over me. Not sure why but I feel sad in my mind. I think you are still suffering the after effects of your procedure so take it easy.

I often suffer the sort of feelings you describe on Sunday evenings. I can only think it is some way related to my childhood thoughts about having to go back to school on Monday. I did not like my schooldays so Sunday evening was a sad time for me and I wonder if that sometimes affects my mood.
Thinking of you all dear friends.
Sleep well all x

rafichagran Mon 23-Dec-19 00:08:39

Thankyou for the welcome every one. I wish you all well, sleep well and Goidnight
Just before I go Doodle I think you hit the nail on the head.

Anniebach Mon 23-Dec-19 19:56:05

Hi all x

Expect everyone is busy , hope you are all coping.

Doodle Mon 23-Dec-19 20:19:50

Hello annie.
Busy ish. I am making a quilt for my granddaughter. The first one I have ever made. Been a bit of a tussle but quite pleased with it so far.
DGS going through another traumatic time. Hope it resolves itself ok. He and mum and dad could do with a rest.
Hope you are ok annie. Will you see anyone over Christmas?

eilyann Mon 23-Dec-19 21:15:48

rafichagran My DD3 was on Citalopram for some years(yes it runs in the family!) until she saw another doctor who told her it wasn't supposed to be taken long term and she is now on something else (can't remember name) and is so much better.
Doodle have you had contact with school psychologist for your GS? DD2 has found it so helpful in dealing with school. Had to fight for it though!

Doodle Mon 23-Dec-19 21:54:00

Hi eilyann thank you for thinking of us. Yes he is getting help (well sort of. It has been promised but not forthcoming yet). Hopefully, that will help.
I hope you and yours are getting on ok. Children and grandchildren, we never stop worrying do we ?
Take care x

Anniebach Mon 23-Dec-19 22:19:28

Doodle we never stop worrying about our children and grandchildren, I still worry about my grandchildren even though they are young adults.

I have no idea if my grandchildren will pop In Christmas Day,
things move on, the girls have to divide the day between being
with their father then visiting their partners families. I will miss seeing them but must accept it. I have my dogs for company.

rafichagran perhaps see you GP ? eilyann certainly knows about the medication you are taking.

Expect you will all be busy but I will be here tomorrow and
Christmas Day and Boxing Day so will check this thread
