Stroke risk for Vegans

Well this is the latest find: Vegans and strict vegetarians like myself run a higher risk of emorragic stroke possibly due to very low cholesterol and lack of B12! So if you thought you were doing good by getting your cholesterol really low, you were wrong! confused

I am not vegan, or even vegetarian, but I do think it is perfectly possible to eat a vegan/vegetarian diet and be healthy. Just as I ensure I eat a balanced diet, and a few "treats" the vegans/vegetarians I know do the same - most tend to eat a meat substitute

It seems every month or so we are told this or that diet is good or bad for you by various "experts" who are then contradicted by other "experts"
