Mix and match. Pills and supplements. What not to do and what works.

Yehbutnobut Thu 24-Oct-19 11:07:43

I’m not a great fan of rappers....unless they start with a W and contain chocolates.

MawB Thu 24-Oct-19 11:14:03

Ah, Callistemon I see - about the cycling.
But did you think I had baked that cake?
You have clearly never experienced my baking ????
I am flattered though - thank you smile

I often wondered why they put those information leaflets in packs of tablets. Now I realist they're for those poor souls who need everything digested (as it were) for them by the tabloid press.
*Gonegirl'. Panic not, I've been taking ADCal for nine years and so far no kidney stones. I think I've lost an inch (in height not width) somewhere, sometime in the last 40 years.

Gonegirl Thu 24-Oct-19 11:57:56

I should take them annodomini. I've lost four inches!

I will glug a couple now. (If only they weren't so big!)

Oopsminty Thu 24-Oct-19 12:07:04

Is this the link you're after?

I'd take anything the DM says with a large pinch of salt .... even though that would also be rather bad for me

One day they say one thing, the next they contradict themselves

Gonegirl Thu 24-Oct-19 12:20:27

Thanks Oopsminty.

Callistemon Thu 24-Oct-19 12:37:05

MawB yes, I was very impressed by your baking and wondered if you took orders!

grin

GabriellaG54 Thu 24-Oct-19 18:25:06

Gonegirl
It's a new mobile and haven't got around to figuring out links. I don't use my laptop.

MawB Thu 24-Oct-19 18:58:24

A new mobile but old advice.

GabriellaG54 Thu 24-Oct-19 19:45:46

For future reference MawB I take no notice of your snickerty remarks any more so save your ?and ?️
You're comments are jaded.

Bathsheba Thu 24-Oct-19 19:54:49

Oops! Watch you’re your spelling Gabriella ??

GabriellaG54 Thu 24-Oct-19 20:03:17

Yeah...too late to edit

GabriellaG54 Thu 24-Oct-19 20:05:10

BTW, GNHQ don't take kindly to posters correcting other people's spelling.

MawB Thu 24-Oct-19 20:13:18

Well some people would know about that wink

Callistemon Thu 24-Oct-19 20:30:01

Someone made a dismissive comment about depression and exercise.

My understanding is that it can be very beneficial and without any of the problems associated with so called antidepressants.

Although antidepressants are allegedly not addictive it is now widely recognised that a lot of people suffer terrible withdrawal symptoms when they try to come off the things.

BlueSky Fri 25-Oct-19 17:42:30

There's depression and depression. One is the 'I'm feeling low' mood and the other clinical depression. Sadly no amount of exercise and fresh air will cure the latter.

wildswan16 Fri 25-Oct-19 18:08:17

I slightly disagree with bluesky regarding exercise and clinical depression. Exercise alone will, of course, not "cure" severe depression, but it can certainly help to alleviate the symptoms along with medication, talking therapies etc. Physical activity stimulates the serotonin and dopamine both of which have a beneficial effect on mood.
