Doodle Sun 07-Jun-20 12:37:33

why wonderful news. Hope you will be happier there. ?
nonnie I wash all our shopping when it arrives and clean everything down again after like you do. Not sure it’s necessary but I’ve got used to it now.
Sunny day here but no walk today as it’s always busy here at weekends and more difficult to avoid people.
Have a good day all. ?

Joce345 Sun 07-Jun-20 13:48:38

Doodle I wash all mine, I wonder if it is necessary not heard any one say to do or not to do...
we have rain again today so won’t be seeing any one again today...
it’s very busy I think people have just forgot what’s happening in the world, or have they? I wonder.
Have a good day all ?

Anniebach Sun 07-Jun-20 14:13:05

nonnie yes my 20 year old granddaughter telling me I should be sheltered did amuse me, I call her ‘my boss’.

Washing things ? I am so confused about it. Tesco deliveries are left in the hall. I have to use my walking trolley, go in hall
put things on trolley and put them in the bathroom, then wash
the trolley, I don’t have to buy food have the bottles of liquid
meals replacement delivered monthly. They are stacked in the
hall.

I leave the items in the bathroom for two weeks, when I want
something it’s trolley into bathroom, then into kitchen where
I wash the items and the trolley. Is there need to wash things
after two weeks ?

Joce345 Sun 07-Jun-20 17:18:08

I don’t know about the washing things Annie, I do it not sure if we need to are not, wish someone would give us some info on this... but for now I will wash it. Fresh veg and fruit go in to water, packages are all washed before bringing them in to the house and put away.

Doodle Sun 07-Jun-20 22:55:39

I don’t think there is a need to wash them after two weeks annie but there doesn’t seem to be much guidance about what to do with shopping. I just started washing ours then carried on. Been painting today. Spent hours doing it with very little to show for it to be honest. At least it kept me out of mischief.
Sleep well all.

Anniebach Mon 08-Jun-20 12:02:31

Hi all x

Doodle enjoy your painting , it’s relaxing.

I had my moan about washing things yesterday, oh how I wish
I had full use of my hands.

How is everyone coping ? it’s difficult isn’t it ?

Nonnie Mon 08-Jun-20 12:14:06

Why That's great news. Look forward to hearing all about it when you have time.

Doodle Sun 07-Jun-20 12:37:33 & Joce I'm note sure it is necessary either but it makes me feel I've done all I can.

annie originally they said 3 days on hard surfaces and less on others but I did hear last week of only one person saying the virus can stay on surfaces for 'up to' 3 months! I am ignoring that one!

I am still coping well, largely because I think about all those who have to worry about their jobs, those without a garden, those without support, those who are lonely .......... I don't have those worries, mine are not covid related. DH is getting just a bit restless, charged a car battery and went for a drive just to test it out. No, the car not his eyesight grin

lavenderzen Mon 08-Jun-20 18:42:13

Hello everyone, hope you are all well.

Annie I really don't know about the washing of shopping etc. there doesn't seem to be any guidance on it, or much else for that matter, it all seems to change so often xx

Why good luck in your new life.

I have been waiting for pansies to come into the local garden centre for three weeks, they had run out and were waiting for the young plants to be ready for delivery. So went on this morning, there they were - two trays into the basket, went back onto the site for lobelia - 2 trays into the basket - went to check out, lobelia now " out of stock" and a clock timing down at the side of the trays of pansies - 56 seconds to go or the order will be cancelled! Blimey! grin Anyway I managed to pay in time!

Hope everyone has a peaceful evening, take care, stay safe and sleep well. Love to all xx

Joce345 Mon 08-Jun-20 22:03:31

Night all sleep well ???

Doodle Mon 08-Jun-20 22:53:00

annie I am hopeless at painting but I am enjoying it. Fortunately, the paint is quick drying otherwise my arms And hands would be covered in it by now ?
nonnie I wonder how long it will be before we feel comfortable not washing our shopping. Hope the car is working ok,
lavender I love pansies. I always feel they look like they have little faces.?. The colours are so lovely. I planted loads in the front garden of our house one year and the following morning something had eaten all the flowers. ?
Sleep well all x

Nonnie Tue 09-Jun-20 10:44:22

Lavender well done with the timing!

Doodle so many thoughts going through my head about what we will be able to do and when. News about Hoseasons this morning gave me hope that we might actually have a family holiday, though not with them. If other companies adopt the same policy I am ready to press go on our holiday.

DS dropped off his hair clippers so I will cut DH's hair today. When I suggested DH trimmed the back of mine DS was horrified at the thought!

Went through the trousers in my wardrobe and took out the ones now too big. Went into the reserve wardrobe to sort out some I think I can now get into and realised I may never need to buy another pair of trousers grin

I wish you all could feel the positives I am feeling today.

Joce345 Tue 09-Jun-20 20:11:33

Evening all grandson just read me his bed time story.. the bear with the big bottom..

Just had news, the young nurse who was taking the scrub bags into hospital has just tested positive for covid, would like to ask all to include her in your prayers pleases..

Hope everyone’s had a good day... ?

Joce345 Tue 09-Jun-20 22:00:19

Night all sleep ? well. ?

Doodle Tue 09-Jun-20 22:12:56

nonnie it’s lovely to hear you sounding so good at the moment. Remember that you can feel this way and remind yourself if you feel low that there are good times.?
joce that sounds like a lovely story. The bear is not the only one with a big bottom round here blush
So sorry to hear about the nurse. Hope she is ok.
annie hope you are ok too.
Sleep well all x

Nonnie Wed 10-Jun-20 09:27:09

Joce just prayed for your nurse, hopefully being young and female will mean she doesn't get it too badly. Please keep us informed.

Lovely to have such intimate contact with GS.

Thanks Doodle. Finally I have something really good to look forward to which helps with all the other stuff over which I have no control.

I procrastinated yesterday and now it is wet outside so I will procrastinate some more today. My new skill grin

Anniebach Wed 10-Jun-20 10:23:23

Hi all x

Had a busy day yesterday, won’t bore you with details, just say
bottles ! ?

Joce345 Wed 10-Jun-20 12:49:22

Hello all, Annie do you have to wash the bottles?
Hope everyone’s having a good day.

lavenderzen Wed 10-Jun-20 19:59:05

Hello everyone, hope you are all ok.

Joyce sorry to hear about your nurse, I will pray things will improve.
Annie I am not evening mentioning bottles grin. Hope you are alright xx
Nonnie you sound so much better now, I am pleased for you.
Weather has been dull and wet today, however, it at least has watered my plants.
I have ordered some books on tudor history today, so am looking forward to them arriving. I will leave them on the little table for some time before opening the parcel, just in case.
Hope everyone has a peaceful evening, stay safe, take care, and love to all xx

Doodle Wed 10-Jun-20 23:20:33

Evening all.
Been very wet here today. Went for a bit of a walk to help DHs legs but it drizzled all the time so not as enjoyable as usual.
nonnie I like your new skill. ?. Hope you enjoyed a lazy day.
annie you must spend so many days washing those bottles. Like joce said do you have to do it? Do the people that supply them realise how hard it is for you to do that with your hands?
lavender nice to have some interesting books to look at. I love reading.
Hope you all sleep well x

Nonnie Thu 11-Jun-20 09:20:56

I wonder how Why is getting on. So much to do when we move home but wishing her well.

I have a plan, not exiting but I intend to spend the morning cleaning the house and doing Pilates. That is rather more than I have felt like doing for some time.

DH has a long overdue knee x-ray on Sunday so will have his first outing in 3 months. Strange to be looking forward to an x-ray!

Anniebach Thu 11-Jun-20 11:59:33

Hi all x

nonnie go for it x

Hope everyone is coping x

I am sad, so much fear in the country and now so much hate.

Nonnie Thu 11-Jun-20 12:31:58

Sorry you are feeling so sad Annie, makes me realise how lucky I am. It is my choice to be housebound and I don't have to worry about losing my job. I don't know if other members of the family will lose their jobs or not but I do believe they have the capacity to cope if they have to.

For the first time I am looking for things to occupy me so I think that is a good sign. Need to go out and have a good hack with the hedge trimmer but too cold, wet and windy today.
