Plodding is good, I climbed all the mountains in the Brecon
Beacons, and Snowdon, I certainly didn’t trot or run, I plodded, got to the tops.

I am so glad we have this place to meet.
I have laughed a number of times this week, despite everything that is going on around us. Annie your "wobble and topple " was so good and now we have "plodder " I am one too, just plodding on, wobbling now and again and definitely not going to topple!

Doodle mountains like the sea, make one so aware of the
creation, I look at the mountains as did generations of my
family before me . And if you are alone you can shout/rant/sing , depending on your emotions .

Evening all. I have had a lovely day today. Saw both my sons and their families and we had such a good time.
Hope everyone else is ok. I too am in the wobbly plodder gang. I’m just enjoying a bit of happy less wobbly time ,tonight. X

we struggle so much with The Black Dog, long before the virus, we have wobbles but we keep plodding on waiting for
the next time things will ease for us.
all here are brave , it’s not always easy to admit we are at times
struggling ,but by doing so we hopefully make it easier for
others to realise we understand and care x x

I am ok, my younger granddaughter FaceTimed yesterday to
say she will be back to clean this week or next.

I’m so pleased for you annie. That must lift the spirits. Apart from having a clean bed to sleep in it will be lovely for you to see her. ?
The plumber has gone. Nice chap, did a good job.
Who would think a kitchen sink that works would be such a cause for celebration ?

annie I have started a cross stitch. Just a mini one. Need to use my magnifying glass to see some of the holes but I’m doing ok.

Morning Annie Doodle and all, think I could have turned that corner, plodding a bit better today... hope everyone doing ok.
We have some sunshine today maybe will sit in the garden and read a little..
I’m apparently going to a party tomorrow so got to lift my self. Kids just love a party ?
Cross stitch is very relaxing not done any for a while eyes aren’t what the used to be. Could be because the one I have half done is on black, my son borrowed my magnifying glass do some detailed painting on his men, don’t think I will see that anytime soon

I usually lurk in the back ground, but feeling so lonely, and low, that I thought I'd open up. I hope that's ok?

I've had a few really bad few days, last week, my daughter informed me that she, her hubby, and the children are seriously considering a move to UAE, an amazing opportunity for them, and I'm delighted, but so sad.

Then on Friday, it was my grandsons birthday, he would have been 11, but died when he was nearly 4. Then on Saturday, my son (his father), was contacted by the florist, to say that on my grandsons birthday, his gravestone was vandalised, the floral displays were in shreds, as were the soft toys. Why do people do that? I feel broken.

I'm feeling so low now, I always struggle with my mental health but I feel like hell. And so lonely. I'm not alone though, I have a husband, and my dog, but nothing see's to change how I feel.

Then to add to it, my constant tinnitus has decided to add a new factor. I have what sounds like an insect fluttering in my ear! It's so weird!

daftbag you are welcome here. So sorry you are feeling low. Not surprised with what has happened in your life. I have no idea what’s in the mind of those who vandalise graves. I can only assume they have never felt love so have no idea how other people care and are hurt by their actions. They call it a mindless act and it is. So sorry you lost your little grandson
Your daughter moving away must be a mighty blow too even though you can see the advantages for them. If they do go, will you and your DH be able to visit?
Have you been to see your Gp recently about your low mood.?
I too suffer with tinnitus. I often find with times of stress it gets a lot worse. I think tension due to worry or anxiety causes your neck and jaw area to tighten up and it affects the tinnitus.
Hope you feel better posting here. We all know something of how you feel and will support you any way we can. Take care.

Hi daftbag it’s a horrible feeling loneliness, I feel like that a lot, I also have a husband and a lovely family. Depression is a very lonely place no matter who is round us, we all understand how hard it can be for us that suffer.. I agree with Doodle what must go though the minds of these nasty people..
sorry for the loss of you grandson..
it’s sad new about your daughter move, heartbreaking but like you say we have to let them do what’s right for them, live there own life, no matter how hard.. there is some very careering people on hear all ways there for one another..

Hello Daftbag so sorry you are so down, you are most welcome to talk to us here whenever you need.

Doodle and Joyce others who post here understand how you are feeling, we may have different reasons but the emotions are the same.

The vandalism on the grave of your grandson was so cruel, we
can’t even imagine what causes people to do such things. But
they cannot take away your love for your grandson or the love
he had for you, nothing and no one can , that love cannot be
scarred in anyway , love is eternal.

You daughter is seriously thinking of moving, if they do you
will adjust to in time, take it one step at a time. Meanwhile
if you haven’t spoken to your GP please do so, and we are here
to listen , support and understand, when we are depressed we
feel so lonely no matter how many we live with.

You will come through this, you have had two shocks , do
continue to talk to us, we all know that feeling of being alone
