Is everyone getting a flu jab?

I've just found this thread, there's a more recent one.
What I would like to know is does it work? ie for those who had the jab over the years, did they get flu?
I 'm going to have it on Tuesday, first time ever. Will have to wait and see.

Have had it for about 15 years now, never had any side effects, I had flu when I was young, don't want it again. I've never had flu since I've had the vaccination.
