Hope everyone has found this x

ChrissyR Fri 09-Oct-20 10:39:07

Morning everyone
Doodle ouch, that must have been painful. Can I ask why you’re limping because of it? confused Hope it’s not too painful today. Yes I’m relieved my glands have gone down, then late last night I was aching all over? When will I learn that not every symptom has to mean something is seriously wrong. Yes, I’m as pleased as I can be about the mammogram.
Joce I’m so happy for you that your DD and DGD’s results were negative. What a relief that must be for you all.
Annie I automatically assumed that the lady was suffering with a mh condition. She definitely needs help with her alcoholism. I’m sorry that this is causing you so much distress. Have you talked it over with your mini tornado? Maybe she can help you to come to a decision about it.

Hi to everyone else. Hope you all have a good day. x

Joce345 Fri 09-Oct-20 10:40:02

Morning Annie it’s good to see you back with us.. hope you are well..

BlueSky Fri 09-Oct-20 10:45:01

Morning all x I woke up after another of my recurring lucid dreams, I dream (?) that I’m trying to wake up but can’t open my eyes no matter how hard I try, this morning I was getting rather distressed as I felt it was going on forever, then of course I do suddenly wake up, oh the relief!
Annie so sorry that you’ve got the worry of that neighbour as well as everything else. Clearly she needs help with her alcoholism, but of course she needs to be willing to be helped.
Sorry your friend died of Covid and his wife is ill with it, I heard of some neighbours having it, but so far treated at home. Just a nightmare.
Hoping everybody will manage a peaceful day x cafe

Nonnie Fri 09-Oct-20 11:41:51

lucyanne glad you got the flu vaccination over and done with and the MOT. I am always surprised when mine passes because it is now very old. The only new car I ever had and it just keeps going. We don't need 2 cars now so it will go if it gets expensive but is not worth anything now.

Chrissy glad the swelling gone down,. You sound content with the GP.

Annie sorry you had a grim day but good that you saw MT. So sorry about your friend, it hurts. My friend's 19 year old son died a couple of weeks ago, totally unexpected just like mine. Wish I could drive down and give her a hug, she was so supportive when it was me.

I don't think you should feel so bad about the neighbour, you are not judging her and it is up to others to decide what is in her best interests. If the petition succeeds perhaps she will finally get the help she needs? Maybe she won't but she is not getting it now. No one chooses to become an alcoholic and she does need help which she is not getting at the moment. Don't apologise for telling us all, this is what we are for.

Doodle sorry about your bad night, a lot to deal with, hope it improves tonight. Not just the blister but the thought that you did something stupid gets to you. Been there and done that grin

Joce so happy about the results, you can cope with this. Hope you slept better.

Amusing that brandy has crept in, DH brought me a glass last night to 'swill round the tooth' which of course was no help at all as there is nothing wrong with the tooth, it is the root below it. However, I thoroughly enjoyed it and it beat turning the heating up grin.

Dentist eventually called back and said it would be wrong to have another antibiotic as the last one was in July. I have to just put up with it until Monday when the tooth will come out. Apparently it is all down to bone loss and he thinks I may have osteoporosis but I don't think so as DH measured me recently and I am still as tall as ever, Supposed to be driving a friend to an appointment tomorrow but DH is deputising because I feel so rough. Heyho, into every life a little rain must fall.

Scaredycat Fri 09-Oct-20 11:45:51

Morning all.
Ah Annie I,m so sorry you have lost your friend and now must be concerned for his wife. The photographs as you say were meant kindly but must have made you feel so sad. Now you are in a very difficult situation with this neighbour who is clearly a very troubled person with alcoholism and needs help but perhaps is not willing to accept it. However there are people in your close who have their own troubles and she is affecting you all. I can understand your reluctance to sign 5he petition but you and your neighbours deserve to live in peace. I hope it will be resolved soon . Take care of yourself x
Chrissy glad your GP phoned and put your mind at rest a bit. I think us people who have health anxiety are very aware of every twinge that other people just get on with.
Joce great news so pleased for your family it must be such a relief.
Doodle ooh that must have hurt. Even the tiniest of plasters makes your finger feel awkward. I,m fine thanks the sun is shining and I,ve just put away the Tesco’s delivery so can relax now. Think it’s a good day for a walk after lunch.
Bluesky that sounds very frightening - it must feel so good when you finally wake up properly.
I hope the sun is shining where you all are today. Enjoy the afternoon . Take carexx

BlueSky Fri 09-Oct-20 12:13:06

Nonnie how tragic about your friend’s son and your own son. Bad enough when they are older, and at the moment not being able to be there for them. So many of you on here have had to endure such tragedy, my heart goes out to you all x ?

lavenderzen Fri 09-Oct-20 12:52:27

Hello everyone
Sorry you have had a worrying time Annie but glad to hear your mini tornado came to visit. Sorry also to hear about your friend xx
Chrissy glad you are feeling better and your glands have gone down. You need to have some me time and rest now to get over whatever it was especially as you are still aching.
Bluesky your dream sounds horrible, hope you are ok.
Doodle hope you are ok and your burn is easier.
Sorry Nonnie you are in pain, the sooner Monday is here the better and the offending tooth can come out. Take care.
Quiet afternoon for me, reading. The weather hasn't improved at all and its getting colder.
Take care everyone, stay safe and love to all including those I have missed xx

Anniebach Fri 09-Oct-20 12:59:49

Thank you all x

I have made a decision, given it much thought, I am concerned for my next door 1 neighbour, he is 81 and has had
to cope with the problem for 5 years , now she has no telephone she will ask him to phone for her. He has to keep his doors locked even in the day. He is a kind man, shops for
residents.

The council will ignore the petition, there is nowhere for her to go, they can’t make her homeless, they have moved her twice before moving her here. She will not go into rehab, has
been in the psychiatric hospital for assessment. So sad, she has
a son living in the town with his father, they cut off from her
several years ago.

There is a garage in the next road and during the first lockdown there was much anger with residents who were having problems getting food and it was discovered the police
were taking her to the garage buy alcohol.

I haven’t spoken of this to my mini tornado or my younger
daughter. My mini tornado was concerned I wasn’t sheltered
when we had the lockdown, she telephoned the surgery to ask
why ! If she knew I was distressed about next door ? The housing dept !

Doodle Fri 09-Oct-20 14:23:52

chrissy I’m so sorry to have confused you with my comment about limping with my burnt finger. I meant it as a joke. The plaster on my index finger doesn’t allow me to bend it properly so I can’t type with that finger and I am sort of working round it (like walking with a limp if you hurt your foot) sorry, I can well understand your confusion ?
Sorry you had another bad night. You may have a chill of some kind. Lots of colds and flu type things about.
Let us know when you have the mammogram and we will be here to hold your hand until the results come through.
Bluesky some dreams get a complete grip on you don’t they. Mine often involve trying to get somewhere urgently but I’m crawling along the ground not making any headway.
Nonnie sorry that tooth is still causing a problem. Hope you manage to get through the weekend ok and then it will be out Monday.
Scaredycat always a relief to get the shopping sorted. Glad you’ve got some sunshine for your walk. Looks like rain here.
lavender a restful afternoon reading sounds nice. I’m staying in and sewing.
Annie I do hope something is done about that woman which helps all concerned. I love the sound of your mini tornado. She sounds as though she will go into battle with anyone for you. What a girl ?
Joce are you sewing , knitting?
Have a good day all x

Joce345 Fri 09-Oct-20 15:28:02

Annie it’s horrible to have troublesome neighbours I’m the same at the minute but for much different reasons to yours.. I hope some one does something to help her, in turn help you all..
Nonnie thank you I did have a better night..

scaredycat it really was a big relief..

Doodle I’m just going to start a cardigan for the new baby, been and got some wool..

Hope everyone’s haveing a good day..

lavenderzen Fri 09-Oct-20 20:53:34

Good night everyone. Take care, sleep well. Love to all xx

ChrissyR Fri 09-Oct-20 22:17:12

Evening everyone
BlueSky your dreams sound scary.
Nonnie Bet you’ll be glad to get the tooth taken out on Monday especially if it’s causing you pain. I’m not sure whether to say this or not, I hope I don’t upset you. I’m so sorry to hear about your terrible loss. My heart goes out to you.
Scaredycat You’re so right, people without health anxiety probably don’t even notice everyday aches and pains. I had got myself out of going to doctor google, hadn’t done it for ages but stupidly did it today and now wish I hadn’t. I’m very disappointed in myself now. Hope you enjoyed your Was today.
Thank you lavenderzen I’m feeling a lot better now, goodness knows what it was.
Annie I know that this is a very difficult situation for you. It’s so lovely that you have your mini tornado who clearly loves you so much.
Doodle I thought it was more than likely a joke but didn’t want to treat it as one just in case I was wrong grin Apparently the place where I’ll have the mammogram done does them every Thursday so it could be next week. I will be very grateful for a bit of hand holding.
Joce Glad you had a better night.
Hope everyone has a good night’s sleep x

Joce345 Fri 09-Oct-20 22:29:11

Good night all sleep well.

Anniebach Sat 10-Oct-20 09:55:21

Hi all x

It isn’t raining in Mid Wales and I am not included in the Birthday Honours .

Well ? ?

Nonnie Sat 10-Oct-20 10:03:20

Sorry for no personal comments, feeling very rough, gum swollen and making silly mistakes in my knitting so must be bad.

BlueSky Sat 10-Oct-20 11:37:55

Morning all x
Annie no mention in Birthday Honours? But we nominated you as a very deserving person!
Nonnie sorry you feel so poorly, shame you’ve got to endure the pain till Monday, keep up the painkillers if that’s all you can do.
Brighter if colder day, out for usual walk in the park this afternoon, I try to avoid shops and people which is a pity as I used to love browsing especially in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
Have as good a day as possible x cafe

Doodle Sat 10-Oct-20 11:46:45

Joce I used to love making baby clothes. So delicate and tiny and quick results ?
Chrissy glad you’re feeling a bit better. No more Dr Google.
Let us know if your mammogram is on Thursday but between now and then don’t think about it.
Well I think they made a big mistake not including you in the birthday honours Annie. You certainly deserve one as far as we’re concerned ?
Nonnie so sorry you’re in such pain. Roll on Monday.
Blusky is your local park a big one? Is there much to see?
Hope you have a good walk.
lavender, lucyanne hope you are both doing ok
Have a good day all x

Joce345 Sat 10-Oct-20 12:15:52

Nonnie poor you roll on Monday...

Annie how rude you should be top on the list in our book...

Doodle I do enjoy knitting but some times Arthur stops me, just hoping I can do this little coat.

Hope every one enjoys there weekend.. x

Joce345 Sat 10-Oct-20 12:18:18

My poor little budgie is poorly.
He’s struggling He is old now 9 years old, think that good for a budgie, but still he’s my little friend..

Scaredycat Sat 10-Oct-20 12:36:52

Good morning all.
Annie glad you have a dry day today - is the sun shining. We would all have given you an honour if we could. Have a good day.
Nonnie - feel for you with such a painful tooth. I remember my Nan used to use Oil of Cloves to help with toothache - it tasted vile though and can,t remember if it worked!! Hope it eases off for you.
BlueSky - It was lovely out walking this morning but quite chilly. Should be warmer for you this afternoon hopefully. We did visit a shop as we needed another New Baby card for my DH ,s nephew- 2 babies in a week!!! I used to love shopping too but now there seem so many hazards to overcome. This morning the girl serving in our local newsagent had no mask and when I asked her where it was she said nothing but looked at me as if I was the mad one!!!
Joce hope your little feathered friend gets better soon.
Time for lunch now - have a nice day allxxxxx

ChrissyR Sat 10-Oct-20 13:38:41

Good afternoon everyone,

Nonnie So sorry that you’re so unwell, hope the pain eases soon.
BlueSky Enjoy your walk this afternoon.
Doodle No more Dr google for me. Hope your finger isn’t too painful.
Joce Sorry to hear your budgie isn’t doing well. Pets become part of the family don’t they.
Scaredycat Glad that you enjoyed your walk this morning.

Anniebach Sat 10-Oct-20 18:36:34

Joce345 Sat 10-Oct-20 19:04:09

We have rain again hear no stop?

Anniebach Sat 10-Oct-20 20:23:39

Yes Joyce it is

BlueSky Sat 10-Oct-20 20:28:03

I’ve been watching Jane McDonald Cruising the Blue Danube, something we were considering doing. Now of course I haven’t got the slightest inclination in even considering holidays, even though there are cruises for next year advertised. I rather do armchair cruising.
Good night all x brew
