Hope everyone has found this x

Doodle Sat 10-Oct-20 21:24:48

joce sorry about your budgie. I had a blue one when I was a child. 9 years is quite an age I would think.
Scaredycat I get so cross with people who don’t take this virus seriously. The girl in the shop should be wearing one except if for medical reasons she can’t. So many of us are making an effort I get cross with those who flout the rules.
chrissy my finger is fine, thanks for asking. The blister seems to have just gone down on its own. How have you been today?
annie shame about your purple hat. I bet it suits you. maybe next year ? Is your MT coming tomorrow?
Bluesky I think your safest cruising in your armchair at the moment as you say. Hope you are feeling ok today.
Hope everyone sleeps well tonight. x

Joce345 Sat 10-Oct-20 21:29:13

Night all hope you all have a peaceful night sleep ?

ChrissyR Sat 10-Oct-20 21:38:05

Evening everyone
Annie maybe next year then your purple hat will get an outing.
BlueSky I’m really hoping that we will get a holiday next year.
Doodle Glad your finger is better. I haven’t had the best day, hopefully tomorrow will be better.
Sleep well everyone x

Anniebach Sun 11-Oct-20 09:57:22

Hi all x

How is everyone today?

I am tired this morning, do you experience strange dreams since the virus descended ? I certainly do

Joce345 Sun 11-Oct-20 10:11:48

Morning Annie morning all..
Annie that’s all I seem to do, strange dreams some horrible one, some can’t make head or tale of. Then wake and can not find sleep again from about 4am... has your DGD been this week? X

Doodle glad your finger is mending... yes it’s a good age for a bird I have never had one as long, still not well but I think he has picked up a bit.. I get angry with people that don’t wear there masks, i wear one to look after others, why shouldn’t others wear them to look after me, everyone should have to wear them. I was told yesterday that the badge or whatever it is there put on to say they or exempt, you can just get of the internet.. we can all get them, what’s the good of that..

have a good day all..

Doodle Sun 11-Oct-20 11:04:32

Morning from me too.
I often have strange unsettling dreams Annie only now sometimes they include things about face masks.
Hope you have a visit from MT today.
Joce I get cross with those who put others at risk too.
I wish I didn’t dream. Mine are seldom pleasant and sometimes they leave me feeling all out of sorts.

DH and I are going away for a few days in our BIL’s caravan (on our own and self catering) . It is isolated so we should be ok. Internet connection is a bit hit and miss so if I don’t post so much don’t worry. I will still be thing of you all.
Take care and have a good day.x

BlueSky Sun 11-Oct-20 11:06:31

Morning all x Bright crisp if colder day which is better than mild and damp.
No I don’t experience any weird dreams because of the virus, just the usual annoying old ones. I occasionally wake up at 4am and I struggle to go back to sleep but that’s nothing new, just the old worries real and imaginary.
Joce I believe they made a big mistake at the beginning by saying that the mask doesn’t protect the wearer only other people. Then people being selfish don’t wear them, but I do believe it does and I want to wear mine for my own protection as well!
Must go now have a good Sunday. x cafewine

ChrissyR Sun 11-Oct-20 11:07:56

Morning all, hope everyone is ok.
Joce Glad your little friend has picked up a bit.
Annie Very rarely dream but when I do they’re the weirdest dreams ever. Don’t think they’ve got worse since COVID started.
Lovely and sunny here but really cold.
Have a good day everyone x

Joce345 Sun 11-Oct-20 11:37:06

Doodle have a lovey time, it will do you good, a few days away take care enjoy x

Joce345 Sun 11-Oct-20 11:40:00

Bluesky I totally agree with you.. not everyone considered other, we have to look after our self has much has we can..?

Scaredycat Sun 11-Oct-20 15:02:10

Good afternoon everyone.
Annie - yes dreams can tire you out I think we expend a lot of emotion while we dream. I read somewhere that many people have experienced weird dreams since the pandemic started. Mine haven,t got worse- I have always had weird or upsetting dreams also recurring ones too . Sometimes it’s hard to get them out of my head afterwards. Also sometimes if I awake with a start from a nasty dream it can trigger off Afib. Weird eh!!I hope you have a more peaceful sleep tonight.
Joce glad your little budgie has perked up - he certainly has made a good age. What would be the equivalent in human years? I agree with you that the mask exemption should be an official one maybe from the Doctor or NHS. Personally I think there are very few reasons why a mask can,t be worn for a short time.
Doodle I think that girl in the shop should not be working there if she can,t wear a mask - she didn,t utter a word though which was really annoying . I bet she said a few when I,d gone!!! Enjoy your caravan break it will do you both the world of good.
Bluesky I think you are right that it was a mistake re the mask info we got at the start - I wonder if it was because at the time there weren,t enough masks to be had. Also I wish they hadn,t said so much about the virus not being so bad for young people - no wonder some of them seem not to care.
Joce Chrissy and everyone hope you have a nice afternoon.

Doodle Sun 11-Oct-20 18:54:01

Evening all.
Bluesky we had a sunny day today but a cold wind out of the sun. If you do wake up at odd times in the night, they not to think about your worries, make a conscious effort to do anything but, like counting or imagine that you have to make a cake and get all the ingredients ready. The more we thing about things the more we worry.
Chrissy I would rather not dream but don’t seem to have much choice in the matter ?
Joce thank you. It will make a change.
scaredycat how have you been today? I hope your A fib has been a bit more under control.
Annie have you seen your MT today?

Joce345 Sun 11-Oct-20 19:19:05

Doodle when I wake and my mind starts racing, I try to do some food shopping always forget something, so have to go round more than once if I don’t fall asleep, I keep going.
Cold hear tonight.
Been busy getting my bonsai ready to over winter..
Baby cardigan nearly done, they don’t take long..
getting excited now...

BlueSky Sun 11-Oct-20 19:52:27

Yes oddly enough I too try and do something similar like planning a meal or doing a shopping list or things to do the following day, anything not to dwell on worrying things. As for nasty dreams that leave you upset I tell myself they are just that and I should be old enough not to be frightened by it. I give myself a good talking to!
Hope you’ll all have a good night x brew

ChrissyR Sun 11-Oct-20 19:55:28

Evening everyone,

Doodle Hope you enjoy your trip away.
Joce How exciting, a new baby.
Hubby has gone to bed not feeling well. He’s 71 and has copd so I’m really worried. I’ve got the upcoming mammogram going round and round in my head. Also still worried about the tender area next to the mole on my leg. I’ve been prodding it (probably not the best idea) and it feels like there’s a bit of thicker skin or something. It moves when I pull the skin on my leg across. When the doctor said the mole looked completely normal in the photo I sent, why the heck didn’t I repeat that it wasn’t the mole I was worried about, it was the tender area next to it. I wish I could swap my brain for a more logical one hmm
Sleep well everyone x

Anniebach Sun 11-Oct-20 21:21:54

Thanks all, I have never been one who has bad dreams or even
remember dreams but recently some vivid ones and most odd.

Doodle enjoy your days away, hope the sun shines x

Chrissy it’s possible you have a tender area in your leg if you
prod it and pull the skin , best try not to do that x

BlueSky Scaredycat agree with you about masks x

Joyce it’s good you are doing things of interest, I have spent
most of the day stitching, I asked mini tornado what she liked ,
she chose a scene of a night sky ! elder granddaughter has chosen one of the sea x

Going to play Mahjong and Suduko now

lavenderzen Sun 11-Oct-20 22:20:00

Hello everyone
Hope you are ok Annie xx
Enjoy your time away Doodle it will do you both good. Hope the weather is kind to you.
Joyce how lovely to look forward to a new baby and the little clothes are a joy to knit, I used to love doing them. Take care.
ChrissyR Hope your husband soon feels better, it is a worry for you. Thinking of you and sending special thoughts to you both.
Nonnie roll on Monday for you to get that wretched tooth out and be pain free. I am sorry it is hurting so much.
Bluesky and Scaredycat couldn't agree more with you about the masks, people should just wear them and be done with it. I haven't been anywhere for weeks but when I do I always wear one. A neighbour told me that the shop assistants in Tescos don't all have them on! I ask you what hope is there!
Hope everyone has a peaceful evening and a good nights sleep. Take care, stay safe and love to all, including those dear friends I have missed. Love to all xx

Joce345 Sun 11-Oct-20 22:45:21

Evening all..
Annie trying to keep busy, I could do with swapping my head for a turnip the way it’s been of late..
that interesting Annie I think the best sky I have ever seen was night time out at sea, the captain turned the lights out on the back of the ship what a amazing sight, one I will never forget.. I love the sky and the sea both amaze me.

Chrissy dam health anxiety like Annie says try not to prod and poke it does make it worse I’m sure you know... Hope your DH feels better soon ....

Joce345 Sun 11-Oct-20 22:45:44

Hope everyone has a peaceful night sleep ?

ChrissyR Mon 12-Oct-20 09:46:44

Morning everyone,
Thank you for the replies. Hubby still feels off but doesn’t have a high temperature so far. I had a meltdown last night and ended up phoning my cousin as I needed someone to talk me down. Im going round to see her today to get me out of sitting here with my spiralling thoughts.
Hope everyone has a good day x

Nonnie Mon 12-Oct-20 09:52:40

Joce how is your budgie?

Doodle others* I agree, those who don't follow the rules are endangering the rest of us. In Japan they always wear masks if they are unwell to protect others and their infection rate is really low, we should learn from them. Enjoy your break.

Annie and others I've been having nightmares for a long time but now having actual dreams so I hope that is an improvement, yes they are weird.

BlueSky think we might have a 4 am club, seem to be a few of us waking at that time.

Chrissey how is DH? Can you go back to the GP and explain again? I always think it helps to write a list before speaking to them.

I'm in no pain now, still anesthetised! Tooth gone and been told I have a lot of bone loss so will lose others. Hopefully there will be enough bone for me to have implants. I will pay for it with the money I'm not spending on holidays grin. I am so very tired but whatever pain comes later today I can remind myself it will only get better. nd on the plus side dentist said to rest and not get any exercise today grin Onwards and upwards.

Anniebach Mon 12-Oct-20 10:19:03

Hi all x

Chrissy sorry you had a big wobble yesterday, hope the
visit to your cousin today helps x

nonnie ouch , but the tooth is out so healing will start x

Nightmares, I can only recall one, a monkey looking through my bedroom window, I screamed and my father rushed in ,I was about 7 . Just never had them, thank heaven .

BlueSky Mon 12-Oct-20 11:11:32

Morning all x Earlier start for us as DH had to be at the surgery at some unearthly hour for a blood test which was due last March. Better get things sorted before they are all cancelled again!
Chrissy sorry you have had a meltdown, it happens you can only take so much worrying. Hopefully things will improve for yourself and your DH.
Nonnie glad your tooth is finally out, keep up the pain killers and take it easy!
Annie hope you are OK.
Must do some work now! Have a good day x cafe

ChrissyR Mon 12-Oct-20 21:48:59

Evening everyone
Nonnie hubby is feeling a lot better. My cousin felt the area where I can feel something. She said there’s nothing there but there is, I can feel it. When I sent the photo of the mole to the GP, he said to send another photo in 6-8 weeks which I think is in 2-3 weeks now. When I send the next photo I will raise the issue with the area next to it then if it’s still there.
Really good news that you’re not in pain anymore. Dreams are definitely preferable to nightmares.
Annie Thank you, to stop me prodding I’ve now put a plaster over the area. Visit to cousin’s today has helped. I hope you enjoyed your Mahjong and Suduko. I can imagine how scary that dream would be for a 7 year old shock
lavenderzen Thank you for the special thoughts.
BlueSky I read something once about your brain shutting down when it couldn’t process any more information. I think that’s linked to having unreal feelings when it feels like everything is a dream.
Joce Thank you for your kind thoughts.
I think I might hear from the hospital tomorrow. They do mammograms on Thursdays so maybe only a couple of days to wait.
Hope everyone sleeps well x

Joce345 Mon 12-Oct-20 22:11:09

Evening all,
Annie hope you have seen your MT over the weekend..

Nonnie my budgie (Charlie) is doing good he has come round a lot thank you for asking...I didn’t think he was going to..
Glad you are feeling better now.

Chrissy how’s your DH feeling now?
Think hope you will feel better when you have spoken to you GP it’s the waiting that reall gets to me...

Good night all sleep well stay safe..?
