Hello, I wonder if any one is suffering with this ailment. I am eighty. Have been treated at a variety of hospitals over a period of ten years. First surgery carried out in 2003. Am between a rock and a hard place. Can have a colostomy at a private BMI hospital for £25,000, or wait indefinitely on the NHS waiting list with no date for the foreseeable. Every day is a challenge. I appreciate that there are countless people far worse off than I am. I would however be most grateful of any first hand information that can help me to manage this dire situation. Thank you.

Has media interest led to further donations? It would be so good to reach target in the first week.

I have been locked out of Gransnet for the last hour. Anyone else had a problem?

So, it has been another good day. Kindness pours from countless hearts. It is not possible for me not to fret about saying an individual thank you just as soon as I'm able. My father taught me the importance of the word from a very early age.

Mr Soop is in touch with the media lady. They have agreed to wait a little longer before going to press. Other avenues remain to explore.

Love to you all. THANK you. xxx

Over £11,000! Fantastic only £4000 to go. Can the media lady not help with a final push?

Aldom Sun 05-Dec-21 20:31:56

Goodnight Soop and Mr. Soop. Hoping tomorrow will bring new donations. So pleased to see that the fund is now over £11,000. It's amazing in such a short time.

Ha! I didn't expect to discover that the message I had tried to post had in fact been uploaded twice. I gave up trying in the end. Thank goodness we are able to get together again. I hate being on the outside looking in.

Have been continuing to thank every person who has been sending "Happy Christmas" messages. I am such a LUCKY lady.

Off to wash and brush-up. hmm How times flies. wink

Love and gentle hugs to Soop not forgetting MrSoop

Charleygirl5 Tue 07-Dec-21 13:02:04

The amount is incredible but Mr. Soop I think must go further afield.

Aldom Tue 07-Dec-21 13:04:29

Soop's Go Fund Me fund now stands at £11,425.
Do hope the day brings more donations to help Soop to get the surgery she needs.
Good luck, Soop. smile

Perhaps a little local publicity will bring in the rest of the money?

Aveline Tue 07-Dec-21 14:08:55

There's only £3750 to go! Surely some local bigwig has that in his/her back pocket.

OnwardandUpward Tue 07-Dec-21 16:40:50

Wooo! That's amazing! This week the lottery is 9m! If I win, I will pay it. Hopefully whoever wins will pay! grin Or a local bigwig will do!

soop Tue 07-Dec-21 16:59:02

Aldom Sunflowers are for optimism. I have just made that up. wink smile

We are getting there. I need to reach the goal by the time the surgery takes place. We have friends waiting in the wings. Isn't kindness a far reaching gift? We are stunned by the wonderful support.

Today has been exceedingly tiresome nightmare-ish. I cannot believe that there will be an end to it in the not too distant future.

My love to you all. Until tomorrow. smile moon

THANK you for supporting us with your kind thoughts.

TillyTrotter Tue 07-Dec-21 17:07:02

With the great power of love, support and positivity I am so hopeful the goal can be achieved soop.
Let’s raise a glass this evening to the marvellous sum of money that has been raised so far ?.

Aveline Wed 08-Dec-21 10:15:33

This time next week maybe, just maybe, we'll have reached target. Keep posting and sharing everyone. Let's keep this going.

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 08-Dec-21 10:32:43
