As most of you are aware there's a Just Giving appeal for one of our own -
Soop. I know many have contributed but wonder if others are just flipping past the 'Grade four rectal prolapse' thread.
There's less than £1500 till target. I wonder if some of you who have had to cancel meals and drinks out would consider contributing what you might have had to pay for those to Soop's fund? She has an awful condition and her situation is complex. Please Grans, think of contributing. sunshine

Come on ladies with the Christmas spirit.

Aveline good that others are finding out about soops desperately needed surgery. I had a feeling some might have missed the original post. It’s creeping up hurrah ?

Lizzie thanks for the link. I've tried all the other suggested methods from this thread and the original one and they didn't work.

Go Fund Me - search Soop - it’s the first one that comes up.
AC are Soop’s initials
Soop needs less than £1000 more to reach her target!

£14,171 we're racing towards the winning post.
Let's try to make it in time for Christmas!
Good luck Soop shamrock

Done. Amazing amount.

Lucca Mon 20-Dec-21 08:27:23

With any luck the target will be reached by tonight
By the way I got a lovely thank you email form Soops husband wondering who I was as I obviously did anonymous.

DanniRae Mon 20-Dec-21 08:33:39

I have just donated - I hope the target is reached soon. Lots of love to Soop and all her family xx

Aldom Mon 20-Dec-21 08:46:56

Soop's fund is moving ever upwards. Now it's £14,196.
As Lucca said, maybe we can reach £15,000 by tonight. Let's try. shamrock

I've just donated.

My Mum suffered with the same problem for many years. Her first op was unsuccesful and she died before she could have the more major operation that would hopefully give her back some semblence of normality.

Wishing you all the best Soop. You deserve it xxx

Aldom Mon 20-Dec-21 09:24:43

Now only £774.00 needed to reach the target! shamrock

So did I! I was anonymous too.

Aveline Mon 20-Dec-21 09:39:29

So heartening to see so many Grans rallying round. The target amount is so close now. What a great Christmas present to Soop it would be to remove the worry about potential cost of this vital operation.

Nortsat Mon 20-Dec-21 09:39:58

Yes, I too had a very kind follow up email from MrS thanking me for my anonymous donation.
I am so glad this thread enabled me to make a contribution.

Lauren59 Mon 20-Dec-21 09:49:01

Done! Glad I saw this and happy to contribute. Best wishes to you Soop, for a successful treatment and recovery.

Aldom Mon 20-Dec-21 10:03:32

I too donated anonymously, early on, and received a lovely thank you email from Mr. Soop. The Soop's are thanking everyone. Amazing. Please keep your donations coming. shamrock
