Scaredycat Pleased you had a nice afternoon having lunch With your daughter. Its always nice to have a catch up with them. It's lovely to see them with their families too but I find it's nice at times to have a chat on your own. Do hope the AF eases though.
HVDY Hope you've had a decent day. I think it's our turn to have some rain tomorrow afternoon. I agree it's good to see other people too. However I'll be glad when we've finished our current novel---I just can't get on with Jane Austen at all.
*Doodle Annie EllieAnne *Hope you're all OK and your day has gone well. X

HowVeryDareYou Thu 23-Jun-22 17:32:13

SweetpeaSue I'm pleased that you went back to your book club. It's good to get out and see other people.

ScaredyCat. Lovely that you had a nice time with your daughter. Hope your AF settles down soon m

Anniebach, Doodle, EllieAnne, all the gang, hope you're all managed to have a decent day.

It's been warm here but cooler than yesterday, and we had a (tiny) bit of rain this afternoon. Hope everyone has a good evening x

Scaredycat Thu 23-Jun-22 15:23:21

Hello everyone
SweetPeaSue- I,m glad you went back to your book club again. I know what you mean about going back to things after Covid has stopped us doing so much but I expect you felt on a bit of a high afterwards. I felt like that about my photography group.
I have just been out for lunch with my daughter . It was such a nice surprise as I know hard she works. We were able to sit outside as it’s still dry at the moment. It’s a really nice little place run by young women and the food is delicious. Such a treat to have time together by ourselves.
Now I am in AF so just taking it easy.
Annie- I hope today has given you some respite from your worries. Xx
Doodle,HVDY,EllieAnne and all the gang hope you are having a goodcdayxxxxx

Sweetpeasue Wed 22-Jun-22 19:23:40

HVDY I've tried fake tan and it went very wrong. I can't have done it right, or used the wrong product. I just use Garniers body moisturiser lwith a little tanning effect in it. Once bitten.... Hope you had a time if you went out with son and DGds today.
Scaredycat and Doodle Thankyou. I've been quite good today. It's during the night my bladder pain is bad, unless as a couple of weeks ago it starts and mimics a urine infection. Have been to my book group after such a long absence and enjoyed it. I was quite nervous going back, which is silly, but I can get like that when I haven't socialised for a while. Been warm here but not too hot.
Hope everyone has had a decent day and are able to sleep tonight. Love to all. X

Scaredycat Wed 22-Jun-22 17:32:47

EllieAnne- you must be so pleased your friend is home now - you must have been very concerned for her. She must be more comfortable now she has the fluid removed.
Good to hear you,ve had a walk now you can start to get out a bit more and enjoy the sunshine.
SweetPeaSue- hope you are doing ok so far this week. I hope you are not in too much pain. What a lovely poem for Annie- with such a lot of truth in it too.
Annie- is there no end to your troubles. I do hope that your GC will settle their differences soon - it is so distressing when those you love are unhappy. Also that MT will be able to start her job and be able to enjoy it- she has waited so long. You must long to see them all - I,m sad for you.
HVDY- yes it’s warm here too. Your legs are certainly ready for business!! I don’t have to shave my legs any more as hair just stopped growing!! I can just imagine Mr Cooper all stretched out in the sun.
Doodle- glad your DH had a lovely Birthday.
Would you not wear cut offs in this weather ? They are much cooler and let the air get to your legs. Is it too hot for you both to walk at the moment? We walked this afternoon as ther3 is a nice breeze.
This morning we dug up a bush in the front that was looking really sad. Our neighbour must have seen us doing it and came round with a plant to fill the space- wasn’t that a nice thing to do.
Love to allxxxx

Doodle Wed 22-Jun-22 13:04:01

Sweetpeasue that’s lovely thank you. ?

Doodle Wed 22-Jun-22 13:03:24

Sweetpeasue your problems all seem to be in the bowel bladder area. It’s so difficult to separate the causes of one from another and I can imagine each specialist thinking something else is the cause. You have been through so much with all these operations. I do hope you’re feeling a bit better today.
HVDY 10 miles isn’t too far. It’s still quite close by. It’s good he is buying the house himself. Many people rent these days. In some countries, renting is the norm and people don’t buy their own homes. I hope your other son finds somewhere that he can afford financially and still have room for his children. In the mean time he is lucky he can live with you.
I expect child support is a big drain on his income too.
We always worry about them don’t we.
DH had a lovely day thank you.
My legs never see the light of day. I wear trousers all the time. I do think dresses look nice though. My legs would need a lot of work first. ?
Ellie Anne good to hear your friend is home. My goodness that is a lot of fluid. Losing that much must have eased the strain in her heart. I hope she makes a good recovery.
Glad you are managing a walk. That should help ease the stiffness. Yes we all miss Annie, it’s not the same without her here.
Oh Annie you sound as though you are worn out with things, what a lot is going on. I hope the physio is being helpful and the council are not causing problems. Problems with your grandchildren will be distressing I know. I hope whatever the issues are they can resolve themselves soon. I know how much you love them all.
Hope the poetry helps x

Sweetpeasue Wed 22-Jun-22 12:49:53

Oh Annie I trust all will be well for you soon.
One more poem for you. It's humorous and light for cheer.

AN EPILOGUE
I have seen flowers come in stony places
And kind things done by men with ugly faces,
And the gold cup won by the worst horse at the races,
So I trust, too.
By John Masefield.

X

HowVeryDareYou Wed 22-Jun-22 12:34:45

Anniebach Sorry you have got all these worries/problems. I hope your Mini Tornado is in touch soon, at least.

It's very warm again here. I'm baring my legs in a dress, so shaved, moisturised and fake-tanned them grin. Mr Cooper is loving the warmth. Hope everyone is alright x

Anniebach Wed 22-Jun-22 11:11:17

Hi all x

Am in a war zone ! Council, physio dept, and my grandchildren , exhausted. Needless to say my poetry books were brought out, Emily Dickinson , Leigh Hunt and Dylan
Thomas I thank you.

Will catch up on your posts my friends x

How is everyone?

Sweetpeasue Wed 22-Jun-22 10:10:16

EllieAnne Thankyou for getting back to me. I'm very glad your friend is back home. It does sound as if she's been and still is quite poorly. Glad she's a little better though.
I too hope Annie will be back soon.
Have a good day EllieAnne. x

Ellie Anne Wed 22-Jun-22 08:49:47

Sweet pea sue I should have updated you. My friend is home after losing over 3 stones in fluid. She is doing ok but heart not good . She will never be well but they are doing their best for her.
I’m still stiff after falling but managed a walk yesterday.
Sorry for those who have bladder problems. It’s the worst pain! Thinking of you all and hope Annie is back soon.

Sweetpeasue Tue 21-Jun-22 21:09:12

Doodle I'm sorry that there are still problems. I do hope things get better for your family and you will get some relief from your worries.
Thankyou. I t is very difficult to tell Interstitial Cystitis(IC) from a urine infection as IC mimics it. I thought I had a very bad infection a while ago when I posted but I had a urine culture taken and it didn't show anything. I was incli Ed to hardly believe it but then I started with frequency during the night(hourly) to relieve the pain, only passing tiny amounts, and realised it was the IC flaring again. I had a Urethral Dilatation around 9 yrs ago then Bladder Distension, all under General Anaesthetic. Still under Urologist who over the last couple of yrs has just prescribed a low dose daily antibiotic to hold off urine infections which I can still get. All of these things have complicated my diagnoses for Gynae and bowel probs. One specialist looks to the other for answers.
EllieAnne . Hope you have been OK today. Also been thinking of your dear friend who is so poorly in hospital. Do hope there is some improvement there. Sending you my thoughts. X

HowVeryDareYou Tue 21-Jun-22 20:51:10

Doodle Son2 lives 1/3 of a mile from us, but is going to be 10 miles away. His girlfriend is going to move in (although the house is his, and the mortgage will be in his name only - she rents at present). Son1 really doesn't stand much of a chance of buying a place, I don't think - the building societies will give him 4 1/2 times his annual salary, which is nowhere near enough for a decent area in Nottingham. He'll have to look at renting (on his own, he won't be able to afford a lot - he earns £11k less than his younger brother). Glad you had a nice time with your husband for his birthday. Hope he enjoyed his day. x

Doodle Tue 21-Jun-22 20:42:08

Evening all. Just been out to celebrate DHs birthday. Home now feet up and a cup of coffee to hand.
Scaredycat hope you had nice weather for your family BBQ. It’s fun dodging the rain but much more pleasant in the sunshine. I do hope you get to visit your son. Can’t imagine not seeing mine for such a long time. Will you go to see him or is he coming here?
Sweetpeasue could you bladder pain be urine infection or such like. I hope you don’t continue to suffer this it sounds very unpleasant. Thank you for your kind thoughts. Things with family are still very up and down. So hard when you just wish you could make life easy for them
Glad you’ve been eating better and coping. Let’s hope it helps.
HVDY so pleased for your son. Will he be moving somewhere near you. It hard a times when one family member seems to be doing better than another. Is your other son looking for a place for himself yet? He’s lucky to have you.
Nice you have a friend to have breakfast with. I’d probably succumb to a full English too. ? especially after all that exercise.
Ouch Sweetpeasue that sounds painful. Is there anything that can be done to help?
Annie looks like you’re incommunicado again. I do hope you’re ok. We miss you so much. Hope things get fixed soon.
Sleep well all x

HowVeryDareYou Tue 21-Jun-22 20:06:05

SweetpeaSue I'd been wrongly diagnosed as having Overactive Bladder for 15 years (could be longer, I can't remember) but then was told by the Urologist it was Sensitive Bladder Syndrome. What you've got is rather unpleasant. Aqua aerobics was lovely and cool, really welcome in this weather x

Hope everyone is alright

Sweetpeasue Tue 21-Jun-22 19:11:58

AnnieHope you're OK today. I know you're having problems with the charger lead so hope there's nothing else that's amiss. Thinking of you.x

ScaredycatHope you're OK today too. x
HVDY My bladder problem has been diagnosed as Interstitial Cystitis. It is different to Overactive Bladder but has some similarities. I believe a theory is that the mucus inner bladder lining is defective in some tiny places and urine can get through and irritate the outer bladder lining.
Hope you enjoyed your aqua aerobics this afternoon.
Doodle Hope you're OK too. Been extremely warm here today. I don't like it too hot either. x

Wishing everyone a peaceful night.

HowVeryDareYou Tue 21-Jun-22 08:44:56

ScaredyCat Thanks. Son2 has sold his house and is moving (this will be his 3rd house). I wish Son1 could get somewhere (he lives with us and his children stay here when he has them). x

Anniebach You have rotten luck with your technology. Hope it's sorted out today so that you can use your iPad. x

Doodle I go for breakfast with a friend after Aqua Aerobics on Monday - she has a huge Full English, and I have an omelette. I love listening to the birds singing. I've been out and fed them, fed the squirrels as well. Mr Cooper is asleep upstairs - he had his breakfast at 5.15 x

SweetpeaSue My GP diagnosed it as an Overactive Bladder, about 15 years ago. The various tablets never made much difference. The pain used to be terrible, and I'd need to wee about 30 - 40 times a day when it flared up. I had to insist on being referred to a Urologist, who sorted things out within a month. I only drink decaffeinated coffee, fruit tea, and water, now. x

It's very warm already, and I've been up since 5.15 - although I don't seem to have done much grin. I'm going to hoover the bedrooms soon and then it's aqua aerobics this afternoon. I hope everyone manages to have a decent day. Love to all x

Sweetpeasue Mon 20-Jun-22 21:46:04

Scaredycat I missed you out!!! So sorry. Somehow there seems to be a delay in the posts shown on my phone lately. You're quite right. Any tests are a means to an end and should help with answers.
You've not seen your son for two and a half years? Oh I do hope you have a lovely reunion this Summer. Of course, the pandemic kept so many from being able to travel. Hope your AF is settling a little for you too. x

Sweetpeasue Mon 20-Jun-22 21:07:38

HVDY I hadn't realised that you had the same thing. Ive had 2 small ops to try and help with it. I tried a diet eliminating acidic foods and coffee but it didn't appear to help. I hadn't thought my recent low pain was that until last week when I started to get up every hour during night for the bathroom, a typical trait when it really flares. The Urologist did a bladder distention op some months before Hysteroscopy, which seemed to help for a while. Hope your Mr Cooper is sleeping in a bit and your Aquarobics was fun.
Annie I'm sorry to hear that you seem to be beset with problems lately. You have every right to be 'cheesed off'. Hope it's been a bit cooler where you are today.
Doodle I hadn't seen your post last night as I was so long posting mine. I hope you're OK and some of your anxieties about family are not weighing too heavily. Its been quite warm here today so I expect its been warmer where you are. I've felt extremely lazy and not bothered with anything. Helped husband a little cutting ivy in garden but in truth he does a lot of the major stuff. It works out OK as he hates all the faffy stuff like deadheading flowers. I stop laxatives on Thursday but have been eating more fruit and fibre now and so far no bad effects. Bladder pain is usually during the night when urine is more concentrated. I hope your husband is keeping well too and still having reasonable nights.
Hope everyone is OK and has a good night. X

Scaredycat Mon 20-Jun-22 20:31:15

HVDY- good news about your sons house- hope it all progresses smoothly for him.it’s so hard for young people to,get on the property ladder now isn’t it.Hope you all enjoyed your lunch together yesterday. Glad Mr Cooper is doing well - does he like to doze in the sun.
Hope you,ve enjoyed your Aqua aerobics today.
Doodle- yes we did enjoy our day with family - we have had BBQ,s in all weathers!! We are lucky to have some of our family so close by. I,m hoping to visit my son this Summer - I haven’t seen him for two and a half years I miss him so much.
I,m sorry you and your DH have asthma - it’s quite worrying how the pharmacies are struggling at the moment.
SweetPeaSue- I don’t know if magpies really like shiny things . Maybe I could test them with something - not a ring though!!
Hope you have some nice days to wear your sundress- just enjoy feeling the sun on your arms .
Glad your pain has decreased a bit. I can imagine how nervous you feel for next week but it will be worth it if the test can help you find a solution to your problems.
EllieAnne- Glad you are feeling better after your fall. I,m so sorry you feel so sad. Is your husband more animated when your son and his family visit?
I wish you could find something that would help you love life again.
Annie- so sorry you have more problems - technology is wonderful but is a pain in the - when it lets us down. I expect though that is the least of your concerns. Wouldn’t it be great if we could all pop round to see you and give you a hand.
Hope tomorrow will be a better day for you.xx
I wonder how Nonnie is - I miss her.
Love to all BDG past and presentxxx

Doodle Mon 20-Jun-22 20:27:30

Sweetpeasue how have you been today. I hope your bladder pain hasn’t been troubling you. Is it this week you have to stop the laxatives or next?
HVDY that’s amazing what you have said about the caffeine. You must be someone who reacts quite strongly to it. So glad you found a way of easing the pain.

Doodle Mon 20-Jun-22 20:24:45

Annie so pleased to see you back. Sorry about all your problems. Hope you get your new lead soon.
Hope your other problems get sorted out too. You have so much to cope with without anything else adding to it.
I’m plodding on. The warmer weather drains my energy but mustn’t complain. I’m sitting listening to the birds. I wonder what they are all saying to each other.
HVDY glad Mr Cooper is feeling ok. Enjoy the aqua aerobics. A re you meeting for coffee after?

Anniebach Mon 20-Jun-22 15:30:08

Hi all x

Have so many problems going on sorry, and iPad too, need new charger lead. Thinking of changing my name to
cheesed off

How is everyone ?

HowVeryDareYou Mon 20-Jun-22 10:12:37

It's a pleasant morning, sunny but not too warm. Mr Cooper is well and happy. It's my friend's birthday and she's on holiday in Dubai - where she says it's 44 degrees! She texted me some photos and said the sea is like a warm bath!

I'm off to aqua aerobics. Hope everyone manages to have a decent day x
