According to an Oxford prof, 10% of us are larks (me), 25% are owls (MrB), and the rest are pigeons.

You?

Owl,but also a permanently exhausted pigeon!

I'm more of a lark but verging towards being a pigeon these days.

For some reason, the typos (park for lark) brought the Tom Lehrer song, Poisoning Pigeons in the Park, to mind:-

Used to be a lark but now generally an owl. Though since Xmas I think I am a turkey - somewhat stuffed.

But chronic insomnia so awake for 24 plus hours regularly. Occasionally 36, 72 a few times. So needs to be shift worker option!

I think i must be a pigeon, late to bed early to rise. I want to be an owl, given a choice I would totally sleep all day and stay awake all night. as it is I do on mostly about 5 hours sleep a night

Night owl here. I am sometimes awake until 6 a.m., alas. If I have to get up early I sometimes can not sleep at all. To those wondering what a Night Owl does until then, cleaning, laundry, ironing, tidying. Anything really except gardening grin. I sometimes see the sun come up but the moon and stars keep me company. During my working life I was an unhappy Pidgeon.

Owl. We go to bed at midnight but I would go later if it was entirely up to me. We get up at 8-8.30am depending on what’s on.

We’re both Larks, up early and pretty much dead by 10pm both always have been

Mostly pigeon. I used to be an owl until I switched to decaffeinated tea. Now nine o’clock is the new midnight and, especially these dark mornings, I often don’t resurface until nine the next morning. DH is, I think, more dormouse than anything else, nine o’clock bed, nine o’clock get up and has a long afternoon nap as well.

Depends on the season, spring & summer a lark, but autumn & winter an owl hate getting out of bed on cold & dark mornings.
