I am 70, and I’ve tried various probiotics, but would like some personal recommendations from my Gransnet peers please..
Those are way, way out of my price range 🤦‍♀️

Often need to take Actimil from supermarket after antibiotics to settle my stomach. Recommended by my GP and it works for me.

I take two shots of actimel every morning, and then a probiotic as well hope that’s not too much!

I use Biomel Complete Gut. It is made up of prebiotic, probiotic and digestive enzymes which comes in powder form that you can mix with food (let it cool first so as not to kill bacteria). I sprinkle 3 teaspoons on my porridge after cooling it with frozen berries and Greek yoghurt. It really helps my gastritis and hiatal hernia.

Dr Xands Con or Cure programme the other night discussed multi vitamin tablets and probiotics. It advised against multi vitamin tablets but was very much in favour of pre and probiotics. I only half listened to it, though so I don’t have the details of what they said.
