It might seem an odd question but…..

Does anybody else wake up in the middle of the night and find their nose is freezing cold?
A few weeks ago, I touched my nose for some reason and realised this and now I do it every night when I wake up to go to the loo and my nose is always freezing. It just seems very odd. It’s not just cold it feels freezing! 🥶🥶🥶

Joseann

Dogs noses are cold when they are healthy. grin

That's actually a myth and a dog can be quite ill even with a cold, wet nose.
I love your joke of it, Joseann but would hate anybody not to seek veterinary help because of the myth.

My nose has always felt cold and goes riding the winter when I'm out and about. At night if I touch my nose it's like ice and my feet also very cold at night I have to wear socks in the winter. Someone should develop a 'nose sock'. I'm convinced it's a circulation problem. I hated having such a red nose in the winter when I was young - not a good look!

'Goes riding'? What did I mean to say I have no idea but my nose definitely does not go riding lol

Odd answer to odd question. I actually knit myself a nose warmer . Just a triangle to fit nose with knitted string to tie on😂 Then I seen them advertised on line. They work hilarious but cold nighttime noses must be common. X

Mine does and I know exactly what you mean. I became aware of it several years ago. It actually felt cold, so much so that I seriously considered fashioning some sort of nose band! I live somewhere with central heating now and it’s certainly not the problem that it was.
I don’t know what to suggest, unfortunately.

Cold nose is a sign of good health! It is the child with the hot nose that is ill. Also sounds like the bedroom is at a decent temperature for sleep.

Very often wake up and my feet are cold.

Vintage girl, isn’t it a dogs nose that should be cold.

I've just tested Sleeping Beauty 's nose, and I would say it is actually colder than the water from the cold tap.

I’ve noticed my face particularly forehead region, no wonder I feel brain freezes by morning, if there’s such thing as brain freeze.

When my daughter was at school in 70s, she crocheted herself a wool 'nose cosy' to wear when she played hockey. It only covered the tip of her nose and had two long crocheted strings which tied round the back of her head. Several other girls asked for one too, so she fulfilled all requests. I can't remember if she charged for them or not.😊
I wouldn't be surprised if she'd do the same today for anyone putting in a request, but yes, they did look a bit ridiculous!

DH has a large nose which didn’t feel cold but his feet were freezing even after an hour or so in bed. It turned out that he had an underactive thyroid which was also making him sluggish all day. He had had lots of investigations to find out what was wrong with him until a lab report after a blood test suggested looking at the possibility of under active thyroid. He had thyroxine prescribed and became well again. Noses aside, if you are cold without explanation, get investigated for this.

IT would be good if the thread title included what it was about!

if your nose is cold then the room is too cold!

Thank you, Lemsip. I can always rely on you for a positive response. 😂😂

Me too.
Used an eye mask for a time, and when the elastic went, found the nearest best replacement, a soft facecloth, folded in two, draped over eyes. And it covered my nose, too. Been using it ever since. Yahoo, no more cold nose!
