Covid jab nasty side effects

I have lost count of the number of Covid jabs I have had, all with no side effects. However, the one I had yesterday has absolutely flattened me. My arm is so sore I cannot raise it, getting myself dressed this morning was agonising. I also feel very feverish and ‘off’. My husband had his las week and also felt dreadful. Has any one else suffered similarly?

I’ve just had and my husband SPIKEVAX Covid vaccine.

I had Covid in 2020, and in hospital for 8 months where I was ventilated, induced coma and tracheostomy.

Meanwhile my husband was undergoing chemo for prostate cancer.
I was not allowed to see my husband and 4 children for 6 months, nor they me , as I was in ITU , and NO VISITING was allowed.

I will have continued vaccines as I couldn’t put my family through all this again, if there is anything I can do to prevent it.

I too have been unwell with many of the vaccines, but the last 2 have only been for a day

It’s a personal and individual decision, so just have a think about it. As you say it may not be for everyone.

Many posters on the type of cancer Facebook site I am on are saying the same that their side effects this time are worse than previous jabs. And we are on 9 or 10 jabs so far. But apart from one person everyone says they would not turn it down as we are all to some extent immunosuppressed.
I have booked mine but will have it more than a week before my husband has his so we are not unwell at the same time. We have always done this with flu jabs in the past and covid jabs over the last couple of years.

We had our 7th jab on Thursday. It was Moderna, which we had never had before. When I touched my arm it felt a bit sore but havnt felt unwell and am fine today.

I had a life threatening condition 24 hours after my last covid vaccination.I was alone in the house, but as a retired nurse, I was aware what the symptoms meant so managed to phone for a taxi which got me to hospital within 10 minutesAn ambulance would have arrived too late.
This incident may or may not be caused by the vaccine but I am not going to tempt fate so will not be having any more covid vaccinations

I have had a bad reaction to every covid jab and seriously considering no more, I just don’t know what to do really. I have also heard of so many local to me who have had strokes following covid jab. A difficult one what to do going forward🤷‍♀️

Moderna last Sunday, Monday a washout. Jab 2 had similar effect. For the others I've been okay.

The gift that keeps on giving.
i have been plagued with hives and angiodoema for the past two years, thanks to the COVID booster. Never before had skin problems of any kind until the day after the Pfeiser booster.

I had the Spikevax which is the Brand name for Moderna I understand. I was very tired with headache the next day but soon recovered.

My poor brother is in a care home suffering from vascular dementia, all residents were give a Covid vaccination a week ago.
He was so ill he couldn’t get out of bed on first day, then couldn’t stand or walk. He was struggling to feed himself and had to have everything done for him.
Slowly over the week he is improving, they didn’t seem worried saying it was just a side effect of the vaccination !!

Two weeks go today, it was my 8th Covid jab and the first Moderna. I'd never had an adverse reaction with Pfizer and this was no different except that it was very itchy.

Thankyou Primrose53
The condition I was referring to was Pulmonary Embolism. One of my sisters and my DS's ex MIL both died suddenly of it
It is one of the largest causes of sudden deathIt was found on my scan at the hospital I had two blood clots, one of which was travelling towards my other lung. I am now on blood thinning tablets for the rest of my life
I am getting along OK, ut it is recently discovered have cancer of the red blood platelets which causes the blood to clot very quickly This was the cause of my PE but I am still not chancing a Covid jab.

I missed the autumn cycle of vaccines as I had a bad cough which hung on and on, and now the next cycle is on offer I'm coughing again with hay fever from tree pollen. I shan't be having the vaccine once again. I figure coughing puts my lungs under enough stress and the vaccine would make it worse. The surgery seems to agree with me.
