Just wondering if any other Gran has suffered with this? My 40yr old scar occasionally flares up and I use Elocon from GP.
It’s red, sometimes itchy, never sore but a bit annoying. I’ve run out of the cream and can’t face the battle with Receptionists 😭😢 to get another prescription. In the great scheme of things, it’s nothing really, just hoping if someone else gets this they have a solution.

How interesting I have a hysterectomy scar that flares up and I thought I was the only one! I’ll try some of those suggestions, Thankyou.

I have an inch long scar on my lower back from when a potty broke beneath me when I was 3! Nearly 80 years later it still itches like crazy. I use E45 anti itch cream but if it’s not to hand then Germolene. Funny, just thinking about it has started it itching.

Try Aveeno. My skin is dry and itchy and it does the trick for me.

I have the same Padine with a 34 year old scar which flares up from time to time. GP told me it was fairly usual because lower abdomen sweats if there is some fat or even if not much fat when sitting down for example. Suggested I use Sudocrem after a shower but to keep the area dry for the remainder of the time to prevent it sweating and irritating the scar tissue. I use antibacterial talcum powder to keep the area dry and have not had any issues since last year as a result.
