DH had a lot of pain after journey here but has now been in a deep sleep since 7pm and I have a bed to sleep in which is a relief after 3 /4 nights sleeping on a hospital chair. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and good wishes it means a lot.
I've been following your story Doodle but have no experience to draw on. I'm glad you are in a peaceful place where you and your husband are both being supported xx
I’m glad to hear your DH has a hospice place, Doodle. There are, sadly, too few hospices. My DiL died in a hospice attached to their local hospital. It was a calm happy place, and they looked after both her and my son superbly. Nothing was too much trouble. My son slept there latterly, and when I took him in cooked meals, they were happy to reheat them for him. They made an awful time so much more bearable.
So pleased your DH is now in a hospice Doodle. It will give both of you peace and comfort. My Dad was cared for in a hospice and just knowing he was being looked after and kept pain free lifted such a burden from the family. Will keep you both in my prayers.
You’ve had such an horrendous time, both of you Doodle hopefully now some real help from those with experience will give the care required and some solace to you xx
You’re all really kind and I thank you for your good wishes. I never thought DH would feel the sun in his face again but today they put his bed outside and he sat in the sunshine overlooking the water and said he was happier than he’d been for a while. So calm and quiet here. We are close to home so family finding it much easier to visit. Again thank you all again for thinking of us. x
